- Dressed in the right clothing for a snowshoe outing, you’ll be able to focus on the beauty around you rather than your freezing fingers and toes. In this video, Katie talks about what clothes to wear and how to layer them so you’ll stay comfortable and warm during your journey.

Super useful! Thanks REI
Nice video and thanks for the tips!
great video!
Thank you for the video!!!!
We're glad you found it useful Flora! Have you ever been snowshoeing before?
What is the name of the outer jacket that you are showing?
Dress warm, enjoy time.
Libolt Adventures yes
👍
So, the outer top layer is non-insulated? Is that so that it’s not bulky? It’s just a waterproof wind proof layer, like a rain jacket?
Ner Bland yeah, that way you can wear something waterproof even if you are overheating. Something insulating works too but if you get too hot and it’s dumping snow that might be a bummer for you depending on the situation
Zander Ascher So, do some people just wear rain jackets (the outdoor sports type also have the armpit vents) instead of having to buy a separate waterproof wind proof jacket?
Ner Bland I do! Mine is waterproof and wind proof so I use it for hiking in all seasons (including snowshoeing)
Exactly. It helps to keep you warm as well since the wind doesn't get through. If the temperature is under 5C, it'll be bulky anyway.
A lot of things in the backpack but no backpack here ? Loll
