Mr Evans don't speak like you know i all.
God doesn't always give life goals or assignments in function of the marriage or the spouse. Not every marriage is going to be like that of Abraham and Sarah or Priscilla and Acquila. Those were exceptional exemples of faith.
Nowadays many people want to have the experience of others without having their faith.
God gives life purpose or assignment in function of the needs of his bride; the Church.
2 people life goals might not fit well in marriage, but they will fit well in the body of Christ wherever they are.
I might not understand what God has assigned to my spouse, but the important is that it serves the body of Christ well; not necessarily my marriage!
But when it comes to natural matters in the confinement of marriage, spouses have to be complementary. That's what the help of marriage was given primarily for; for natural things; not for spiritual things because the holy spirit is our direct helper in spiritual things.
Marriage is primarily for natural things. That's why it's said that spouses become one in the flesh.
The problem your mistake has caused is that every sinle person is forcing God to reveal a purpose before marriage and to send him/her a partner with a purpose that match theirs as if God gives the life goals or assignments in function of marriage.
Most people that God used spiritually in scriptures performed their assignments without the direct help of their spouse. So you should not impose that to young people.
Even to know life purpose, very few have the privilege to know it before marriage. Abraham and Sarah didn't even know their life purposes before marriage but God ordered their steps to get married to their purpose partners. So stop constraining marriage with alot of religious restrictions and making it much more complicated than it should be.
Nevertheless, I appreciate many good things that were said.

What do you do when married for 25 years and your husband doesn't know how to communicate goals or vision? I have found myself alone with goal setting but he's not Kingdom or Legacy minded...as long as he goes to work every day to him he's reached his goal. My husband hasn't planned a date night for us in over 5 years....he comsumes sports and martial arts ..I planned our last two dates but there's no companionship... it's like we're on two different boats...I am growing weary 🙏🏽❤️‍🩹

Don't grow weary, God is not done with you both‼️ Ask God to not allow your faith to fail and ask Him to give you both a heart of flesh and not stone (harden). Start praying together and watch God move. God is able to do it. Praying for marriages 🙏🏽❤️
