The best part of CMP and being a Purdue fan is knowing that in today’s cesspool of college basketball, we know our program is amongst the cleanest in the sport and we'll never have to worry about recruiting violations, Purdue paying family members under the table, or using shoe companies to direct players to our program for us. Painter runs a tight ship, makes no promises to his recruits, and makes sure they can play tough D before they see any real playing time. We’ll be along for the next 400 wins, Paint!
Painter is a great coach. Overjoyed that he finally gets to the FF! Brandon Brantley obviously knows how to build bigs. Paul Lusk is a great coach too. And PJ Thompson is becoming a wizard
I commented to some friends at the beginning of the season that if nothing else PJ on the coaching staff brings some fire that the coaching staff has needed. I love our coach staff, but I also feel like Paint, Brantley and Lusk are a little TOO chill at times.
As a Purdue fan, Mike Woodson has turned Indiana into a flaming dumpster fire. He hasn’t put any work in and everyone at IU is celebrating because he just got his first recruit. (Sorry I had to. Seriously, thanks for the nice words about Painter though).
Yeah I’m there with you. The generations (now) who never knew the real time excellence that was IU men’s BB, now have this shining example that they’ve never seen in their home state. If a banner is hung in Mackey it may change the hierarchy of basketball preeminence for scores and scores and scores of years to come. IU becomes a footnote. “Way back when” Not mad about it, it’s just sad as an IU bro .
When we hired Painter, what, 19-20 years ago…I was like…ok…loved watching him play back in the day, but can he coach? He turned us around quick, and I was a believer. We had some unfortunate things happen, and we had a few bad stretches, and when people were calling for his job…I was like no! Who else are going to bring in? Painter was planting his recruiting seeds! We saw early returns on that. He just needed another season or two. And that’s what happened! We started winning! A Lot! We were back on top of the Big10! We were going to sweet sixteens again, and an elite 8! And then we lost to a couple double digit seeds. What are you going to do? It’s March Madness! Ask Kentucky, Virginia or other top rated teams that have lost to double digit seeds. Painter has rewarded Boiler Nation for our patience, understanding and commitment to his method. Now we’re one win away from A National Title Game! And we have a top 7 National Recruiting class coming in next season! And No One is leaving for the Portal! #boilerup
The game is rigged and Edey and Caitlin Clark are members of the protected class ... Those Zebras just refuse to call traveling on either of them ... WHAT A JOKE!
@@jimmy79889 Wrong, very, very wrong ... he is most often forced into traveling by stellar defensive tactics ... And you Purdue fans handle this team's temporary success like a child with a new toy ... I can see you sitting on the couch in diapers and sucking your thumb!
Hilarious. The amount of times Edey gets hacked and there's no call, I've never seen anything like it since Shaq. He's just so big the refs don't know what to do. He already fouls out the entire front line of the other team but if they were consistent the opponents would be playing with 4, like in Hoosiers. There were several plays freeze framed against Tennessee where he was fouled by multiple players and there was no call. (The Tennessee fans I was watching the game with actually agreed. They just said what I said previously, he's too big and the refs don't know what to do.) "Protected class" comment is beyond absurd.
@@JRain234 You did not in any way refute my comment ... Edey gets preferential treatment and YOU can't handle it! ... He travels with impunity! Go to back to the TENN game when the score was 49-46 PU and watch him travel as he mishandles a pass ... and of course, no whistle! I count 5 times in that game when he traveled ... you PU fans, this is a new experience for you and it's just too much to handle!

As an Indiana fan Matt Painter has turned Purdue into what Indiana used to be. He has put the work in. He deserves the success.

We just need a few banners to catch up! But that will take many many years

Love Painter. Anybody would be lucky to have him at the helm. Roll Tide.
Thanks for the props. Now go kick UCONN’s ass! Congrats on making it to Phoenix! Hopefully we’ll see each other in the Natty. Boiler Up!

Those people who said "we gotta fire Painter" are complete "you know whats". Just reactive and emotionally immature.
I feel like this channel is pro-Purdue. Three other great teams are in it.

lol. When Edey does travel, it's almost always caused by a player fouling him.
Ever noticed that?
of course he never notices that.
