The Sinks & Laurel Falls - Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Tennessee - 8/14/24

Day 3 of my birthday trip down to the Smoky Mountains didn't go exactly as planned but still ended up being a great morning.. My original plan was to go to Cades Cove and drive the loop back to the trailhead for Abrams Falls and hike to the falls, but I didn't know the Cades Cove loop was closed to vehicular traffic on Wednesday's 🤦‍♂️ So I drove back into the park and stopped by the roadside The Sinks falls and made the short hike to Laurel Falls, where I sat at the base of the falls and had a moment to reflect on my trip before making the drive back home.. This was a great solo birthday getaway to the mountains, it gave me alot of alone time to do some self reflecting, process some things that have been on my mind lately and declutter my head, and recharge my energy and focus.. I wish I didn't have to go back to the reality of work tomorrow, but bills don't take a vacation unfortunately 😫😅😅😒
