I can't believe this. I literally just played this game and went online to see what I was doing wrong. Some of my shmup buddies think this is the easier of the shmups they've played. Elitists, all of them. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Like anything, if you’ve played it enough you can memorize patterns and what to do. If there’s been a lag, there’s going to be trouble! I’ve nothing to hide, I even did an outtake vid of all the deaths. I personally think this is one of the tougher Neo games.
Okay I guess it would've saved me a lot of trouble if mine actually came with that Instructional Marquee, I did not know you could set the probe to a fixed position, hahaha. I got murdered countless times at that stretch in stage 2 with the turrets.
Most Neo games will run through a crash course on buttons before the game starts. That said, even with the ability to lock it, good luck fooling with positioning it in the later stages while dodging. Great for certain sequences and bosses though.
i got inspired and tried again, made it to the asteroid belt. I could've continued but I really needed to take a leak, I couldn't make it back before the continue timer ran out. Haha. Ah well.
I think you have to beat this game twice to get the true ending that's why it brought you back to stage 1 after beating it the first time. Nice playthrough!
Yeah, you do unfortunately . I wasn’t about to rip through the same thing twice at the time though. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
Hey I always wanted to ask you and I guess now would be the perfect time... Do you ever use the unibios cheats when playing NEO games ?.? If a game is just damn hard or just to experience a different kind of way.... I would love to hear your take on this topic.
No, I think the only time I’ve ever used the “cheats” are for enabling the stick controls for Iritating Maze (which kinda sucks btw). I don’t know, I just really never have used those types of devices. I don’t have any judgment against it or anything if people want to experience a game and tailor it to their needs just to have fun. It’s just something I don’t do and honestly often forget is even there.
Hey man I know this prolly isn’t the place but I figured I’d ask a fellow neo geo guy. I have a neo geo cd top loader with a region switch. Is there any need of me modding it with a unibios? Besides cheats which I could care less....unless for this game lol
Nonsense, this is the perfect place! With Unibios you would gain the ability to switch between arcade and console mode as well (AES/MVS). So for basically any game you then have unlimited play as opposed to some games that may cap your continues. I do know that installation of the Unibios into the CD units is a little more difficult than the install on the MVS boards or AES console, so be careful or source some help.
This is personally my most notorious love/hate relationship in gaming. What’s yours?

RELIEF of restoring harmony to the galaxy LOL
You’re not kidding. Wow.

It's not the same thing, it's harder! 😄

Wow, u really didn't seem to enjoy that gaming experience!
It’s a love/hate relationship and an intense experience. I’m considering posting the death reel.
