I just happened across this video, and I realized that, for all the teas that I have tried through the years, I have never tried a chenpi puerh. You were so convincing that I just had to order some for myself, as I love pu-erh and I love various citrus flavors, so I am very excited about trying it, and quite sure I will like it. Thank you for your lovely presence in a lovely, informative video that encourages us to try new things!
No harm trying new things. But the video lack many important information. It is just a trend. The citrus fruit used cannot be considered as ChenPi as it is an unripe fruit. It is the discarded fruits. And usually because the citrus fruit mask the smell of the puer, usually low quality leaves are used. Just some FYI. I have seen many tea sellers in China that would not drink this ChenPi puer, or some call it XiaoQingGan
So what would you recommend?
I love this tea the Chen pi adds another dimension to the mellow yet earthy puerh.

I have been drinking tea since I was quite young, but have only recently truly found myself "steeped" in the culture surrounding really good teas, Oolongs, Puerh, nice greens and whites, oxidized, and smoked teas such as Lapsang Souchong. Cool! I just opened up a box gifted to me not knowing what sort of baggies I would have. To my surprise I got these little Tea balls 😜 So I was researching on how to brew it. I'm glad I ran across your video. Question. Can I keep the tea inside the orange peel while in my little tea kettle? I would filter it into another tea kettle. Very cute video Emily! Just one funny thing: when you said 10 seconds you brewed it for over 30! :D Us, people are very bad at estimating time, all the tea videos are the same, people say 15 seconds and brew for 40 or they say 1 minute and brew for 25. It has been scientifically proven that people are terrible at estimating short amounts of time, so it's worth using a stopwatch.

Thanks for the video Emily. I have tried it a couple of years ago and I did not like it. Probably I'm a bot too much conservative, the orange flavor ruined the flavor of the puerh.

I did not enjoy this tea. Aroma and flavor were off. Maybe somehow the one I tried spoiled or something.
