I have visited Tel Aviv, Jerusalem etc and I was astounded at how amazing the food was! Best falafel I had was in Carmel market and I think the place you profiled was where I had it! Another thing I noticed was the friendliness of the people. this video brought back many awesome memories. thank you.

I just love Middle Eastern food! I live in Florida, and the closest I can get is Publix grocery store hummus. I’ve even thought about buying boxed falafel mix and making it myself. There’s only one way to get falafel. There’s a frozen food section of the Publix that has a frozen falafel but the sauce is nasty! Any way to make a felafel at home? A recipe that you could suggest? I’d love some of the food you’re eating!

A lot of the restaurants selling Arabic food in Israel are actually owned by Arab Israelis that's why you see Arab food lol. Besides, when it comes to national dishes, every country has cuisine with history linking it to a foreign nation. Adam Ez Yup. You get it. Food culture long predates the borders of modern nation-states. Biryani is claimed as “Indian” or “Pakistani” though it’s origins are in Persia. Pasta is Italian though noodles originated in China. Palestinians claim knafeh but Turks and Lebanese say it’s theirs. It’s all silly really. For what it is worth, no one in Israel says these foods were invented in the modern State of Israel. They call falafel and shwarma “Israeli” the same way Americans call hamburgers and hot dogs “American”.
