    I’m actually about to get into tech sales.. I’ve been researching crazy these last couple of weeks and so far I’m really amped on it. Both of you guys are very impressive especially how you stay humble and you both give great advice. So definitely wanted to say I appreciate that. I believe the pros out way the cons by far especially if you’re willing to put in the work.

    I gotta say gentlemen….I’ve been watching all of your TH-cam videos for at least last 4 months. This one…this one is the best yet. Extremely motivational and focusing. Well done!!

    I joined the course over a year ago. Got into a different role at a startup. But now I’m back on the grind to try and break in. This video really came at the perfect time for me haha.
    Thanks for the boost guys

    It’s great when you guys talk about what else can be done with tech sales further down the line. That’s what “experience” is all about.
    Share the past so we can better predict the future.

    Hi there, great vid filled with great info👍🏼
    I’m currently 20 with 2 more years left in my degree in business analytics. But with recent videos like this changing my perspective on my future job I am interested into going into software sales or tech sales. How easy or difficulty would it be for me to switch over to tech sales or software sales and what would I have to gain as a future employee to be successful in the field of tech or software sales ?

    • @techsales-higherlevels
      @techsales-higherlevels  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Keep going with your business analytics degree, that is a solid background and sets you up well to land an SDR job out of college. I would look for sales and/or customer facing internships to put yourself in the best position. Alternatively if you land an internship at a renowned company that is a great way to stand out even if it's not sales

    Thanks for sharing your real experiences and feelings, Its Insightful..... Could you try bringing in founders and tech entrepreneurs of some companies who had a previous Tech Sales background. I know my friends Father who worked as an AE in Salesforce India(Chennai) for nearly 8 years and have started his own IT Service company Doing Turnover of 10 million$ per year and employed over 300+ people.

    What would your number one recommendation be for people with relatively low social skills. I landed a job but the nerves are getting to me.

    • @techsales-higherlevels
      @techsales-higherlevels  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Nerves are normal, everyone goes through them. If you power through early on you'll start to get a little more numb to it and not take it personally. It's why sales people get paid more because we have to deal with the occasional awkward social interaction that most aren't willing to subject themselves to.
      I used to get incredibly nervous on cold calls and big calls with clients, now I have a healthy disconnect from the outcome. It's like lifting weights, at first you get really sore and it can become a burden. After a while your body gets more used to it and it's just a necessary part of doing your job and why you get paid more.

    Hey love your content !
    I currently have 3 years of experience in Digital transformation and thinking about moving into Tech sales
    Do you think it's worth it to start as SDR or BDR ? Or should I aim directly for account executive of smaller accounts ?
    And any thoughts on the different techhubs in Europe? thinking about moving to Dublin
    But vs London, or Amsterdam, Paris...

    As someone going into college this year, I want to get into tech sales after. We are looking at 2028, you think I’m gonna be ok?

    • @techsales-higherlevels
      @techsales-higherlevels  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @topsta7316 yes. Sales will always be in demand. I would learn something technical-ish/analytical even if you minor in it and look for internship and/or work experience that is customer facing and ideally sales.
      You have a long time to figure it out so I wouldn't worry too much about it right now

      Try to take a course on business writing, get involved in clubs and organizations, learn how to talk to anyone, take on leadership roles, learn how to give an effective presentation, get an internship the summer of your junior year, try to go abroad if your college offers it. College goes by quickly, so good luck and have fun in undergrad!
