I was particularly impressed when the beardless one had to swallow and moisten his mouth before he could continue to sing. He was so affected by the dread.

For me this has become the song I associate with Firefighters and Hotshots and Smoke Jumpers (Forest Fire firefighters) the real life warriors who fight to keep us safe from fire that's out of control.

His cover of Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues is an awesome contrast to this!

I've seen the LOTR trilogy, and the first two movies of the Hobbit trilogy.
We saw the huge LOTR exhibition at the Indianapolis museum, which was an incredible experience.
I even named my dog after a place name on LOTR.

Interesting, I didn't hear a single biscuit or sugar. I'm going to presume that you were so overwhelmed by his skill and creativity that you couldn't get one out. And if I missed one, I apologize.
The acting in this one was so amazing, each singer had a different character, it was so beautiful. It gave the intense feeling of fear, resolve, dread, and courage required by men who are facing death in order to protect their families. Super good. Great reaction!

There was a quiet biscuit halfway through. I think he was just stunned as we all were with this one

I love this sooo much. Geoff's cover is so sad and melancholy. I cry every time I watch this. Geoff always impresses me with his arrangements. Eli did an amazing job with the lighting. Great Reaction as always!!

What a blessed time in music. The prominence of harmonies and voices that use clear diction for the lyrics. An auditory buffet of musicians taking us to the heavenlies at every turn of the page. Thank you Chris for bringing this to your channel.

I had read the books way back in the '60s and many times since. Got my husband to read them in the mid-'70s. Had my children read them and my grandchildren. We took also took the whole family to see all the movies and we bought all the DVDs.

I agree with you about how beautiful the cello is. I started playing in grade 6 and continued through college where I was in the pit orchestra for a couple musicals and played in the College-Community Orchestra.

He's done songs from the first two Hobbit movies and he's just got to finish it out with The Last Goodbye.

This is so beautiful and Geoff is worthy. A step up from Misty Mountains. I love that each of the characters really get to sing the main lines. We not only saw all of the films, we bought the extended versions with all the fun stuff, armor, music, and more. Congrats on the cello! I visited my electonic Yamaha baby grand this week and played it poorly but with heart. Can't wait to get back into a house and out of the camper. Piano I've played since I was ten but been away from it for too long. Start over. Then I'm planning to get a Celtic type lever harp and learn that too.

I suppose you know that Geoff also does all the background music, using his keyboard with plugins.

I'm an old, old Tolkien fan and I've seen the LotR trilogy and the first of the Hobbit films. That one sadly left me sufficiently unimpressed that I never bothered with the other two, but I do love this song.

I've seen the LOTR, but I haven't seen the Hobbit, I'm not sure Peter Jackson is really getting that right. There's enough I've seen that makes me go 🤔. But I love the story
