    I've done 100's of events but there's a couple of gems I didn't do here! All the emergency spare kit in one bag is great as you don't need to be distracted and the point to take all the unused fuel out of your pack to replace with the new stock is gold!!!! I've made many poor decisions in races where Ive used half my fuel so not stocked up then regretted it or even just carried too much

    Assumes your unused bits of kit will be transported to the end for you. Never happened at any ultras I've raced (although longest - so far - was 65K) - maybe a thing on longer races.

      Yes, for some longer distance races event organisers arrange a drop bag so you can resupply midway through a race 👍
