Honestly, the straightforward honesty and transparency you have, not only on this subject, but also on your own motives and drivers, is so admirable. Thank you for sharing your insights like this.
I would say these creators need to do it just like a part time hobby kind of thing, if the money is not there you can’t give it full time hours, and everybody should understand that
You're a good dude for this. Anyone who criticizes Tauna is ridiculous and delusional about what content creating is about. Entertainment doesn't outweigh people's lives
Great to hear your perspective on this as somebody who has as much experience as you do with content creation for these types of games. Wishing Tauna continued success and wellness!
yeah i agree. creating content and building a community takes a lot of time, that investment of time needs to return some cash otherwise it's just not worth it.
overall great video. I love the honest insight, as i am someone who has been interested in content creation but as you mentioned in the video don't have the time/drive to make that happen. Appreciate what you do!
You make good points. I was feeling mixed on the whole tauna debacle as if he isn't having fun then he should leave. No one should play something they aren't enjoying. But after listening to his video I realized I am feeling much of the same. I spent around $500 since June on HoME and I just have no desire to keep spending or pushing. I'm in the top 5 of each raid chapter in my guild. I login just to do the 2 arena battles for keys to help guild and many times over the past 2 weeks I just am not doing other dailies cause I don't have motivation. Meanwhile in swgoh I am running two accounts and loving it(I slack on conquest on the second account but cmon that is conquest). I want to stick it out for when the game has that punch but but home is not doing a good job of making me want to farm and push teams, what is my spending even getting me besides arena but I have been gold 1 since the star changes and before that was in mithril with elrond. The one thing I will say with tuana is that his videos never really adding anything for me, it just took longer to get the same info I got from reading a dev post. To contrast you will read a dev post but you add in your opinions and thoughts as you go along so there is entertainment mixed in as well.
I agree with a lot of what you’re saying and I understand that it’s a tough racket. I myself criticized Tauna and not because he was leaving. If you read some of the discords it’s a pretty common opinion that Tauna’s content was not good. If you put out a subpar product for your consumers then they have every right to criticize it just like how we have every right to criticize CG for the garbage they’ve presented in HoME. That’s the drawback of putting yourself out there. You can’t have it both ways. And I want to make a distinction here. If you want to bash Tauna for leaving then yes I can agree with you. But if you bash Tauna for creating lazy, low effort videos and then getting frustrated because he wasn’t getting traction in the community then we are not in the wrong for that. I have nothing personal against Tauna. I actually liked some of his MSF content but you can’t argue that he wasn’t just phoning it in with HoME. You have to accept critique if we don’t like the product you’re giving us.
I mostly agree with you. I think the difficulty is that there isn't enough content yet in HoME to make a dedicated channel that good. I think he was trying to expand to a game which was too new for his video style, and the daily release schedule was just too much given the lack of in-game content. Honestly, I think you can typically get out 1-2 GOOD videos per week without just constantly repeating yourself in this game. That's more a factor of the game being so new than anything else, I think. That said, CG can develope more actual content, an creators like Tauna could slow their release schedule to improve video quality. The downside to this, of course, is that YT pushes your content harder the more often you release new videos it seems.

A good mature conversation. Great message to hear.

Great Video, glad to see the humanity behind the curtain. Keep up the awesome work.
Thanks for this. I appreciate this sort of videos
A good eye opener for anyone who wants to stream themselves as well i personally always thought there was a lot more money in it

Great video. Sometimes we all need a reality check.
Great video

Tauna wanted to support it but the game is a major cash grab with crazy issues with little content
