I bring a fully charged power bank. I bought the one that you had on Amazon and I bring a plug-in charger as well. I do not want to be on a long flight without any entertainment in case the screen in front of me does not work. I’m tall and I learned on my first trip to Europe that I will never ever fly in a coach seat again. Overnight Los Angeles to London. I rested. I did not sleep. On the way home I treated myself to an upgraded seat. I have a lot of miles with one airline and I’ll be using those to get an upgraded seat on the way there. Coming home is not as necessary as it’s usually a daytime flight. The best thing I did was used Timeshifter app to get myself on London time.
I'm 6'4 275 pounds. When I get on if the only overhead bins available are behind me I take it because most people grab all the front ones and move back to the rear were there seats are. If there rude enough to do that I just Gronk on back to my bag.
I went to order airplane pocket for tray table. Some of the reviews mentioned American and Alaska flight attendants made them take them off. To expensive to be told to remove it. Seems unreasonable to me.
I wish I had your enthusiasm about flying. It's one of my worst fears, I can't even enjoy knowing I'm going on vacation because the dreaded flight. Traveling to Italy in a couple weeks and I won't be able to relax until I land in Italy. I'm jealous of people like you on planes lol
I always take a trash bag so that I can dump any trash as we go along and I also take some disposable gloves to use to clean down tray, table, seats, the buckle, etc. then I can just throw them in my trash bag.
The face I made when you said socks in the lavatory: 🤣 I've heard Laurie talk about that, too! On our recent flights to Seattle and back, every time I went to the bathroom I thought, "Who would DO that?" 🤢
I wear Sketchers slip on shoes and always bring cheap dollar store slippers to change into on longer flights BUT not to the bathroom 😵😬 easy to slip the sketchers on opposed to running shoes.

For us, we’re close to Houston, so it’s either Southwest or United for domestic flights. Agree to, I avoid the bathrooms as much as possible, sometimes to my almost misery 😂. But our most recent flight was completely sold out and I took a middle seat so my dear wife could have the better seat. I was so much turned into a pretzel by the time we landed haha.
If you can it’s better to place it in the bin across from your seat so you can keep an eye on it. People have actually moved my bag to make space for theirs and I didn’t realize it until we were leaving.
I sleep on planes so I pick the window. Ive had to sit in middle /aisle and people have woken me up to go to bathroom. I said I would only move if when they came back, they would be sitting in my seat be sure I was NOT moving again. You DONT wake up people. So damn rude...
If the airlines would give us more room between rows of seats, maybe we could get from the window to the aisle without waking people up, but for now as tight as the seat rows are, it is almost impossible to get by someone while try to get out!

Great tips! AA is our airline, too. We use disposable shoe covers when using the restroom and then toss them in the trash. (Engineer)

My favorite item is the airplane pocket. I sometimes get some weird looks when I use it but it is so nice to have.
