This works. For those who are having trouble with the Press down power button + volume up option..... Hold down the power button + volume up, when u see the samsung logo, let go of the power button and still press down on volume up, and in a couple of seconds, it will take you to the system recovery section.

Dude this may sound lame: BUT YOU FREAKIN ROCK!!! THANK YOU!!!! I had put some stupid app on my tablet and it locked/froze my tablet. Searched for help for a frozen tablet and you came up. I was patient and followed the directions and unfroze my tablet. Again, may sound lame: BUT YOU ROCK!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!
Hard reset with the button combination works in almost all cases. I suggest restarting it by press and holding the power button for few seconds and retrying. Make sure you use the correct buttons. With volume down button you get into 'Download mode', not hard reset. If it doesn't work, you could try installing stock firmware, but that's more complicated. Otherwise you'll need to send it for warranty. Good luck!

I'm not sure whether it'll work, but if you had setup a Gmail account you could try entering the wrong password as much as possible, it could eventually ask if you want to restore your device through your Gmail account. I've never done this, so I'm not sure whether it'll work.

Samsung Tablet Note 10.1 will come on and off then you shud leave it afterwards you will se a caution sign and an android symbol wait and then put wipe data hard factory reset and then yes delete all user data and then reboot system now.........

My Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has stopped playing videos from my SD card. When I try to add new videos the card wont take the video or I get that sorry cant play this video message. I'm hoping a reset will fix my problem. The tablet worked great up until two weeks ago. I could add videos in most any format MP4 AVI WMV didn't matter. Any ideas anyone?

Actually my note pad is dead i got a new one that is the only solution , if you find any solution i will appreciate your advise for me .
