This is the kind of stuff I think about when I look back at my era of lego. Even the super small sets are better value and way more detailed than what we used to get. Just the addition of the half round 1x1 flat trans white for the lights on the front of this add so much more shape and detail then just having a round trans white stud there.
Lego hits it out of the park at the £9/$10 price point yet again. I totally agree with you Jang that this is where Lego offers the best value. The minifig even looks like Mrs Prune, making it even better!
The 'turning-action' is what does it for me. I don't know why Lego doesn't put it in ALL their SUV and trucks as it acts as a working suspension too! Sooooo much fun to play with and it's not on but 3 sets in 3 years!! Get it together Lego!
I like the tree is in fall colors for a bit of a change. Gotta love that kitten. I'm curious about the piece used to hold the flames, since it doesn't look familiar to me.
I was looking at a lego fire truck I had as a kid from the late 80's wich sold for about FL12.25 back then. it had a truck one mini fig, some accories and was 76 pieces. Converted to inflation that FL 12.50 to euros would now be €11,99 this set has about 30 more pieces, a sidebuild wich adds singular playability. So saying that Lego got better and more expensive is not always true. most basic city sets and non special themed ones are still quite nice and affordable as toys.
owh i have this set, i just wish it comes with a portable fire extinguisher instead of a water gun, a chainsaw or axe, and a longer but foldable portable stairs. Overall it's a good set, the truck is quiet detail for that size

That suspension caught me way off guard. Didn’t think to expect it on something so small.
If I see this in stores I'll pick it up. That's a cool truck, but my favourite parts have to be the yellow pieces and especially that new helmet.

On it's own the Kitten just looks like a Cat to me. I wish it was shorter with the tail not sticking up
