If he got a Ocean that was not up to date, that's not his fault- he also claims Fisker refused to provide him with a vehicle. Looks like this solely is the burden of fisker, not the reviewer. Blaming him also for the environment in which the review took place, i.e. weather, dirty car etc is not his problem either. again fisker had an opportunity to provide a vehicle and control the experience.
Oh. I have owned my Fisker Ocean Extreme for three months and absolutely love it. Best car I have ever owned. The updates are improving the vehicle and am “super excited” (quoting Henrik) for updates 2.0!!!
You know I dont question MKBHD vid since he never really talk seriously down on the vehicle. And showed very direct issues. He never tampered with the vehicle and reviewed it as it from its software to its hardware. No malicious intent, it was all in plain view. The car looks nice and operates but has soo many software issues that should or would be worked on. But for a company to not even have basic features like bluetooth or brake stopping on a hill it completely on them.

The software update didn't come out until after he had reviewed the vehicle.... what was he supposed to do, wait for every software update, before reviewing a vehicle... that is not practical anywhere. You like the vehicle, that is life... we do people have to try and disparage others because they don't like what they said or their reasonings?? If the Stock tanked because of the review, that tells you how much respect he has in the industry.

The software didn't have an interface or mention of what the solar panel did(power output, usage). 2. dsahboard and steering wheel Buttons had no labels on what they did and their placements were awkward and caused accidentel presses. 3.Key fob buttons didn't work. 4. The california mode(or wtf the mode was called), didn't roll down all the windows. 5.The company actively didn't want mkbhd to review the "Current" build of the product. That they actively sell in the market. It was not a demo build. They actively sell a product in the market and tell a reviewer not to review it? Sus?
compared to the first versions of tesla he's had unlimited patience for these seem like minor things, and 1 and 4 are complete non issues in the large picture from a v1. 5 is a problem but tesla has had way worse communication so still weird. I found his review to be very fair. I actually find the positive reviews of fisker to be less fair since thise reviewers gloss over many of the software issues, arguing that "these problems will be fixed someday."
His heading was click bait because his review was more positive than negative for example it looks good and drives good etc… most of the things he didn’t like were software/function related. Small things
He was trying to avoid getting sued while still bashing that car ..are you kidding ? The car is so great that he just couldn't say anything bad about the performance so he went after the software ..he was not trying to be nice in his review
The only thing I agree on is that he did review the car dirty in a terrible setting I didn’t understand that but in reality it’s about the technology he said the car looked and drove great
I don't think you've seen more of his "Auto focus" channel videos. They're literally all "unpolished/raw", shot with an iPhone, short-term reviews/impressions, whether he likes the car (his Porsche 911 Turbo S) or hates it, like the Fisker Ocean. I've seen pretty much watch every single auto focus video he has made, he always tries to touch on positives and negatives, even for the cars he liked and owned. Didn't feel like this was any different, except that his conclusion sounded a bit harsh, but if you look at the other cars he had reviewed, I don't see why it can't be true. All the other cars did seem better.

These people missed his introduction. His car reviews aren't high production, they're a one-man-show show for youtube content that is opinion based. He drives the cars and gives his opinion on it. There is not right of wrong unless you only show the bad stuff. But he showed some good stuff like the California mode which was real neat (especially the lowering quarter window). I wish more cars came with that feature.

How can you prove he was "seeking to diminish a brand" lol. Reviews are always subjective, my guy. That's why you should never based your purchase on reviews. You can literally find reviews of people saying they hate every single Apple product, and other reviews saying they love everything Apple. Same goes for Tesla. People love it, others hate it. Why is this something that needs to be addressed? Anyone is entitled to their opinions. It's up to you what you want to do with that opinion.
The same way researchers review or critique potential issues or flaws within studies. There are processes and protocols used in research to guard against bias. Reviews could be rated to the degree the reviewer has used practice toward guarding against subjectivity.

I very clearly understand it isn’t a study. But let me make sure you get my memo. Similar steps and measures used to review the level of objectivity vs subjective of studies can be borrowed and applied, believe it or not, toward public reviews. This could help the public make a more informed decision as to the objectivity of a given review if the review adhered to certain steps to draw their conclusions. The review doesn’t have to, and of course many would have the same attitude as you until the market begins to favor those that actually have adhered to objective steps. That’s it man. Im just gonna say it. If his video was bad, this video is absolute garbage with only speculation and fisker glazing. So much road noise I could barley hear your point, but we wanna chat about good reviews and videos 😅. Fisker put out a sub-par car with sub-par software and thats that.
All his car videos are like that in terms of production value/shooting locations. He created a separate channel for this with its own „DNA“. The title is also not that it’s the worst car but the worst car he reviewed. Now everybody can watch his other videos and point out which other car he criticised more. You also have to see this in context of the vehicle price. Those are very annoying issues and they have also been pointed out by others. Fisker shouldn’t ship cars in that state. Magna is great but they produce in relative small scale and it’s another party that needs to make profit. Tesla is performing so well because they do even more things in-house than everybody else. From things like seats to Software and even the robots for their factories. Of course Tesla started with a car based on a Lotus Roadster but that was many years ago and it’s a different market today. So Fisker won’t reach high volume but it’s not even a super premium car that would help generate margins. Even more Premium brands like Lucid struggle a lot even though they at least have some very advanced tech that is ahead of Tesla in some ways. Fisker has nothing very advanced. Just some promises for the future. If they close shop, we won’t lose any innovation. I like the looks of the Ocean but think Fisker is doomed, especially with the competition today and this macro. Their financials are shaky and I would not buy a car today with a high likelihood of not getting parts/service etc. in the near future.
