I am so sick and tired of people saying that they will just suffer through as naturally as possible- they have no idea of the risks that they are taking by doing that long-term. I saw a Naturopath recently for unrelated reasons and she tried to talk me into stopping my HRT and told me that all I needed was progesterone cream. I am 43 years old and went through premature/early menopause and I know how foolish the advice she gave was- I also have friends who believe their essential oils will be enough to help. The answer to those who say they just want to get through as naturally as possible is that replacing what is missing is the most natural thing that we can do! There is nothing that we can do to raise our estrogen levels once we are post menopausal other than to take estrogen! I am so sad that so many women have been deceived. Women who I know are losing their minds and losing their marriages etc. etc. and still refuse to wake up

Woman 25 years ago were given Pharmaceutical HRT. Woman lived long lives, outlived men statistically. Now 25 years later, woman go to their care givers, and are told to take black cohosh and vitamins. When Woman return with no relief, there given antidepressants. It will be of no surprise to me if Woman no longer outlive men in rhe future. And yet, Woman I speak with 50-60 yo.. absolutely will not take HRT. It's unbelievable the Pharmaceutical medication people will take without taking a pause. Yet HRT is a no for all I know. It's illogical.

Yes, you are the first doctor that has taught me this. This is shameful. I lost so much bone mass and right in the middle or towards the end of menopause, I fractured a disk that trapped my spine and led to paralysis. I did a multitude of tests , and found that my femur was missing and my bones were wearing out. No one mentioned tests for estrogen etc . Talk about brain fog....I had / have it. I was just sent home to make the best of what I could. There was no treatment to stop the brain loss. Thanks for this tutorial.

So I went to a cardiologist because my GYN wasn't "comfortable" with me taking HRT (because I had a pre-cancer in my breast 15 yrs ago) and I told the cardiologist I was concerned with making sure my heart and circulatory system were in good shape before taking HRT. He argued that heart attack was not a consequence of estrogen defficiency and that taking HRT would not help prevent heart attack. Wow. I just don't understand. I know you said the "bread and butter" comes from the diseases that could be prevented, but could they all be this corrupt or ignorant? What is going on with these drs that they are not taking the research you are citing into account? Having been a part of the academic and medical research field, I am just so amazed. I know these drs are required to go to continuing ed conferences, but maybe they are just choosing the topics they are interested in for their continuing ed and ignoring the parts of the conferences they should be going to because it interferes with their chosen leisure activity at the conference (mini vacation). Maybe no one reads journals anymore. I don't get it. Scientists are supposed to have open minds!

Dear Dr. Taylor, thank you so much, this was one of the BEST videos ever! I watched all your videos, and I'm so thankful that you are sharing such valuable information and education with us! I'm on HRT and feel great. I really like the idea suggested below to create a talking point sheet that we could present to our doctors or anyone else ignorant of the subject. I also think we should even push this further in medical schools, and inform men and women at a young age in schools, and use media to spread this amazing education. Congratulations on your courage and commitment!!!!

Loved this video!! I am now looking at conditions in the mouth differently which seem to present in women who are peri and post menopausal. Conditions such as burning mouth syndrome, lichen planus, tooth loss and alveolar bone loss. I am a dental hygienist of over 20 years and started researching these dental conditions in relation to menopause. Dentists don't seem to think of the correlation..especially if they are male. Thank God you are passionate about educating us. I, for one, am incredibly grateful for your very informative videos. I "always" learn something new after watching each of your videos. You've helped me feel more empowered to insist my gynecologist keep me on my HRT. I had a hysterectomy when I was 44-years-young (2007). My ob/gyn put the HRT patch on me while I was still in the hospital. I've been on 2mg per diem. However, when I moved back to Florida (2017), each physician I went to refused to keep me at this dose, and weaned me down to .5mg. Then, after moving back to Colorado (2020), and getting re-established with my gyn. practice, whom had previously had me on the 2mg/diem; tried to keep me at the .5 the Florida physician has had me on. After finding you on TH-cam, and learning the minimum dose for my oral Estradiol should be 1.0mg; I was able to successfully convince my physician to bump me up to this minimum amount. However, I still didn't feel as good as I use to (back in 2017 when I was last on the 2mg/diem dose). Through persistence, I was able to get my physician to write a Rx for 2.0mg/diem of Estradiol (oral pill) last week. (Woo-Hoo!) I can't thank you enough for providing me with the education and confidence to advocate effectively in order to achieve this successful resolution. Forever grateful! ;-D

Im 49 and had my annual gyno appt & because of now daytime hot flashes (among other things) being so miserable I brought up menopause & she insisted I was not in it. To please me she ran HST & my number was 73. That was the message I got from the office. I had to send a message and schedule another appt to discuss this. Where I asked about these diseases and was told yes but there was the same diseases by taking hormones and because I smoke she will not give me estrogen (I have a mirena iud) but she would give me an antidepressant & vaginal inserts. AND if I quit smoking she will then Consider estrogen but her “hope is that I would find the antidepressant would take away the hot flashes and I would decide against estrogen” I pushed and questioned the weight gain and facial hair growth & hair loss and she told me there are many ways to deal with the weight gain. Surgery, diets, pills and even a diabetic medicine that has proven to show great results for weight loss and she would be willing to prescribe me this if I didn’t want to go the surgical route. I am not diabetic and not thrilled about the thought of weight loss surgery. I’m blown away by all the ways she is offering to avoid estrogen yet willing to prescribe everything else including going under the knife. Just flabbergasted. That’s why I am here.. to educate myself so that when I find the right Dr for me I know how to deal with all of this. Thank you for this video and all the others! We need to be educated. 50% of women who start on Estrogen blocker stop taking it within the first year because they can't tolerate living with very low or no estrogen. And, and I haven't met a woman yet who could tolerate Tamoxifen or Arimidex estrogen blockers yet.

Birth control pills are higher dosages of the same hormones that are in HRT. Which is best for YOU depends on YOUR situation. I can help you assess this in a consultation if you schedule one at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I do them all online.

I’m hearing so much talk lately about “estrogen dominance”…? What’s that all about? How can you be going through menopause and be estrogen dominant? I thought we were estrogen deficient?
Also, I was trying the HRT and felt horrible. I know the dosage was incorrect and the doctor and I never could get the right dosage for me. Another friend of mine is going through the same thing with the dosages and feeling horrible! If our hormones change and lab tests can lead us in a wrong direction, how can we address these things in a timely manner with accurate diagnosis and relief?

How long does post menopause symptoms last?

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

This is variable from one woman to another, Some women have symptoms only during peri-menopause. Others have them forever.
What is true for all women is that your heart, bones and brain age rapidly in the absence of estrogen. And that puts you on the road to the diseases of estrogen deficiency (heart attack, osteoporosis, and Alzheimer's)

That's the nature of education, my dear.
If you’d like a more efficient delivery of this menopause education, you should do one of the following:
      • Read my book
      • Watch the webinars in order
      • Watch the DVD entitled Your Menopause Your Way
They all give you the complete education without the fluff of the videos. You can get any of these from my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME.
And if you want the fastest track, schedule a consultation with me, and you'll get the education along with tailoring of it specifically to YOU. You can schedule a consultation at MenopauseTaylor.ME.
These videos cover only one piece of information in each video. That’s intentional. If you only use these videos to get your education, it will be very complete, but it will take a looooooong time. My goal is to meet the needs of all women, regardless of their learning style, and regardless of their command of the English language. Many of my viewers speak English as a second, third, or fourth language. You may not care about them, but I do.
I am the only person providing a complete and unbiased education on menopause. So, I’m trying to serve the needs of all women. I’m sorry I haven’t served yours well. But I think one of the other options listed above will.
