I can't seem to find a video showing how to install the INSIDE door handle (passenger side). I removed it already and I have the new one but I'd like to see a video of someone installing a new one before I try to install mine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hey Dave! I surely hope you are still monitoring these comments! :) I have a 97 TJ and it looks like the door lock is hung up and we can't open the passenger side door any longer. The inside locking switch feels like there is some resistance but, I can't figure out where it's hung up at. Any ideas or suggestions to get the door open again?
Well the problem is in the latch. First you need to make sure both rods for the inside and outside handles isn't being held out - that can prevent the door from unlocking. - make sure to spray the lath down with WD-40 then you will have to diagnose where the problem is inside
hi, my inside door handles work but the lock and unlock button/switch does not work. I can lock the jeep from outside with key and can open the door from inside but cant lock or unlock it from inside. think it needs some lube or is it broke etc. I did not take anything apart yet, a little leary of taking it apart in case I cant get it back or make it worse to the point of not being able to open the door from inside. wondering if I can spray some lube in there. thx

I did not do anything yet with mine. for some reason I dont think lubing would help in my case. the toggle button to open/close does not want to budge at all, like something is blocking it or broken, same on both sides. for now I am just living with it. finding a lot of little things that this jeep needs and working on the more important ones first. may come back to this issue later. if you get yours fixed, let me know. thx

Hmmm...the saw tooth wedge for the door handle goes in from the top on one side, and the bottom on the other.....Houston, I may have a problem. Both sides are tight though, maybe I should leave well enough alone.
That sucks about the tail light! Looked like one of those moments when anyone around you should just quietly walk away and never mention the incident again.

I am having this same issue. Wondering if I should just replace the whole thing or can get away with lubricating them?

what type of paint did you get, i have a 97 tj with a carmel color tan interior and its hard to match the paint
On the interior it is custom mixed SEM Interior paint
