"gallon of milk" is the wildest fuel unit. By the way, the narrowing-orifice effect requires more of a nozzle to direct flow (slit width doesn't speed it up)
I cut a barrel almost just like this. I used 6" half circles and pushed in the tabs, same direction.yada yada. The holes look like crescent moons when lit. I'll probably add another ring of vents half way up. My barrel gets a fair spin on the flame. But I want more. Bwa-ha-ha.

The word you're looking for is "venturi effect"
nope the word he's looking for is cyclonic. there is no narrowing of the air flow like a Venturi.
