And that certainly looks like a concentration camp to me, I haven't really seen any other building look like what I saw, other than to constrict and hold someone. Also, I'm pretty sure it's not easy to walk around locations like this in Xinjiang, especially since we know the PLA keeps much militarily hidden in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia. The world probably won't have any absolute proof until the CPC falls or the CPC decides to make the information public in the future. There are reportedly 385 known detention centres of varying sizes recorded by The Xinjiang Data Project, this man visited 20 of them. There aren't currently 2 million people in these camps, but it is estimated that over 1 million people have been processed through them since their creation. The second facility (Qumul Facility #1) Guanguan visits has writing on the building saying 回归指导区 - 康复巩固区 - 教育活应区, so it can be assumed this is some kind of rehabilitation and education centre presumably for people with drug addictions. However, what is suspicious is that the facilities windows are covered in iron bars and are blocked out, there are also high walls and barbed wire fences. The third facility (Qumul Facility #5) he visits has a sign out the front saying 第三十师看守所, there is also a police car, barbed wire, and a metal gate. As the sign says this is clearly a detention centre. The 6th (Jimsar Facility #1) 13th (Korla Facility #1-6) and 14th (Karashahar Facility #3) facilities he visits all have the slogan 听党指挥 - 能打胜仗 - 作风优良 written on signs. Jimsar Facility #1 has a sign saying 吉木萨尔县拘留所. Jimsar Facility #1 is a detention centre, it can be assumed that Korla Facility #1-6 and Karashahar Facility #3 are also of a similar nature based on the shared slogans. The 10th facility (Xinshi Facility #6-7) he visits is very interesting because it has the slogan 文化改造 - 劳动改造 written on a sign which means 'Cultural Transformation - Labour Transformation'. 劳动改造 can also be translated as 'Re-education Through Labour' or simplified to 劳改 or Laogai which is the name of Mao era concentration camps. So through signs and how the buildings are designed we can discover most are detention centres and a few are re-education centres, but detaining who and re-educating what is another question that would require more research. For the 8th facility Guanguan visits (Fukang Facility #2-3) for example I was able to find a public arrest notice for a Uyghur named Serik Nurdybek on 2017 August 26 on crime of 'political extremism', although the notice doesn't specify what he did exactly. Based on satellite images most of these facilities Guanguan visits have been expanded since 2017 so either crime has increased in Xinjiang or they have been expanded to accommodate the mass arrest of Uyghurs, which would make sense seeing that the mass arrests began in 2017.

And that certainly looks like a concentration camp to me, I haven't really seen any other building look like what I saw, other than to constrict and hold someone. Also, I'm pretty sure it's not easy to walk around locations like this in Xinjiang, especially since we know the PLA keeps much militarily hidden in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia. So the fact that this guy was able to record this, makes me think what he did was not safe at all, but very brave to get the world's eyes on it. The world probably won't have any absolute proof until the CPC falls or the CPC decides to make the information public in the future. In the meantime evidence must be gathered like pieces of a puzzle, this mans video is not proof in itself but if you combine it with leaked CPC documents, witness testimonies and the work of other journalists then you will start to create a more solid image and proof.

There are reportedly 385 known detention centres of varying sizes recorded by The Xinjiang Data Project, this man visited 20 of them. There aren't currently 2 million people in these camps, but it is estimated that over 1 million people have been processed through them since their creation.

The second facility (Qumul Facility #1) Guanguan visits has writing on the building saying 回归指导区 - 康复巩固区 - 教育活应区, so it can be assumed this is some kind of rehabilitation and education centre presumably for people with drug addictions. However, what is suspicious is that the facilities windows are covered in iron bars and are blocked out, there are also high walls and barbed wire fences.
The third facility (Qumul Facility #5) he visits has a sign out the front saying 第三十师看守所, there is also a police car, barbed wire, and a metal gate. As the sign says this is clearly a detention centre.
The 6th (Jimsar Facility #1) 13th (Korla Facility #1-6) and 14th (Karashahar Facility #3) facilities he visits all have the slogan 听党指挥 - 能打胜仗 - 作风优良 written on signs. Jimsar Facility #1 has a sign saying 吉木萨尔县拘留所. Jimsar Facility #1 is a detention centre, it can be assumed that Korla Facility #1-6 and Karashahar Facility #3 are also of a similar nature based on the shared slogans.
The 10th facility (Xinshi Facility #6-7) he visits is very interesting because it has the slogan 文化改造 - 劳动改造 written on a sign which means 'Cultural Transformation - Labour Transformation'. 劳动改造 can also be translated as 'Re-education Through Labour' or simplified to 劳改 or Laogai which is the name of Mao era concentration camps.
So through signs and how the buildings are designed we can discover most are detention centres and a few are re-education centres, but detaining who and re-educating what is another question that would require more research. For the 8th facility Guanguan visits (Fukang Facility #2-3) for example I was able to find a public arrest notice for a Uyghur named Serik Nurdybek on 2017 August 26 on crime of 'political extremism', although the notice doesn't specify what he did exactly. Based on satellite images most of these facilities Guanguan visits have been expanded since 2017 so either crime has increased in Xinjiang or they have been expanded to accommodate the mass arrest of Uyghurs, which would make sense seeing that the mass arrests began in 2017.

I also know when I was going to travel to China in 2014 there were terrible terrorists acts of violence on the streets of Beijing and in Xinjiang so I went to Korea instead but to China later in the year.

The Chinese govt has also improved the living standards of all Uighurs lifting them out of poverty , there are many new houses with electricity and water, poverty is alleviated, there are many many Mosques for the Uyghurs living in the region and many job opportunities.
The growing of cotton has been a success which the US has attempted to undermine by putting sanctions on the cotton exports etc making it harder not better for the Uyghur people.

Looking at those Uighurs old town and cultural building I feel relieve that they are way lucky compared to the Hawaiian minority in Maui and other Hawaiian islands.
