Great list! I'm so woefully underread in the classics, I've only read a few of these! Thank you for sharing another great list!

I really want to read North and South! I read Great Expectations this year and had such a different experience to you as it's probably my least favourite dickens. I love that we all have different opinions on our reading!!

I wonder if Great Expectations is my favourite because it was the very first Dickens I read. I might have some sentimental leanings - love the creepiness of Pip in the graveyard at the start and how things come full circle with Miss Havisham.

@@PageTurnersWithKatja oh the plot I absolutely agree is fantastic! I just didn't enjoy the long winded writing style - and that's despite loving Les Mis, Count of Monte Cristo, and Tale of Two Cities!!

@@PageTurnersWithKatja I adore how different our reading tastes are! It really shows that there is a book (and a reader) out there for everyone!

I looooooved that video, great choice, I've already almost read them all ! Except "Noli me tangere", which I put up on my TBR. I would have picked Jane Eyre, because this is *my* book, the one that led me to British literature and classics, but I also love The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, great book ! I've already read Les trois mousquetaires and Vingt ans après, but it was last century, so I'll be glad to re-read it. Thanks ever so much and have a wonderful vacation time !

Thanks so much, Isabelle. I used more video clips than I've ever used before - I got carried away enjoying the editing 😆 it's wonderful to have that feedback from you. Jane Eyre still has a special place in my heart - for a similar reason to yours - it's the first film I watched on my own in a cinema. My sister and her friend went to see Melanie Griffiths in "Working Girl" but I didn't meet the age restriction. I chose to read the book soon after and then devoured more of CBs books 😊. Emily and Anne didn't cross my mind.
