Hi there, firstly thank you for all your helpful videos! So, I’m new to IG and have recently started to create a checkerboard feed, however what I’m confused about is that it appears IG have an algorithm that do not provide the feed in chronological order. If I create my feed to look attractive with a checkerboard design, is it likely that my feed will not look like that for whoever is following me? Hope I’m making sense! I’ve found a few content creators who look like they are trying to create a design but the pattern is all over the place. Am I missing something here?! Thanks so much xx
Hi Katy! I think the confusion comes from the fact that people colloquially call both the main feed of posts and their profiles “feed”. The algorithm affects the post feed when you first open the app (among other places) - my newest video talks all about it! The posts on your profile are always shown chronologically. You can keep a checkerboard style on your profile and the algorithm is not going to affect it. Hope it explains it!
