I am trying to do my best to comment more on videos, but I’m not really doing that good of a job. The first thing I’d like to say is that I really enjoyed the meeting the characters family members compilation that you put together. It was a lot of fun! ~ ~ ~ Even though I don’t understand Japanese myself, there are some TH-cam channels that I’m subscribed to for Japanese Twisted Wonderland fans just to keep up with announcements and cards to see their illustrations, so when I saw in my subscriptions someone in a Savanaclaw uniform, I had two initial reactions: 1. This is kind of embarrassing, but I legitimately was like, “who’s the hot cowboy?” and 2. It almost looked like Ruggie at a quick glance. When I clicked on the video itself, I was like, “oh my God that is Rook!” I honestly thought we would never see the day that we would get to see Savanaclaw Rook in game, but I am glad we are! I know that Rook is a character that I have mixed feelings about, but when this comes to the English version, if I can, I think I’m gonna go for it. I wonder what sort of direction Book 7 is going in that they’re implementing a Savanaclaw Rook card though. Should be interesting. I wonder how many other characters from other dorms are going to be featured in Book 7 at this rate, but I suppose if they feature too many more it’s really going to start dragging on for too long. Kind of related, there is a theory involving Rook that I was kind of noodling around with, but I kept it to myself because I wasn’t sure if anyone else had the same train of thought as me. Recently, there was an ask from Tumblr user YuuRei20 where they left a link to a Twitter thread they quote retweeted about this theory, and I was like, “wait I’m not alone in thinking that?!” The theory question is Rook potentially not being human. The reason I was thinking about that is because the only characters in this game that have heightened senses in some way shape or form would be the ones who aren’t human and Rook has freakishly good eyesight. To find out that he was originally sorted into the dorm that has the most part human, part animal characters in it had me really wondering. I’m going to keep my expectations in check with this, but I’m wondering if with the Savanaclaw Rook card if we could get more lore, if not a confirmation, that he isn’t human. But I’m going to try and not get too excited about that. If get more lore about Rook in general, I’d be happy with that, too. He is kind of an enigma. ~ ~ ~ Part three of the Tsum Tsum event is something that I’ve been thinking about on and off for the past year now, since part two. I found myself thinking about it last night again, so to see that part three was announced is weird timing. I kind of figured the Japanese version would be getting it sooner or later and I guess I was right. The other thing I was thinking about with the Tsum Tsum event would be outside of the dorm leaders (since the SSR cards are reserved for them), what characters would be getting what rank cards. Outside of Vil, the other two characters that are my personal favorites that I knew were going to be in this event would be Trey and Jamil. I was left conflicted on what cards I would like to see them get. I knew it was going to be wishful thinking expecting both of them to get SR cards, so my reasoning was as much as I love Jamil. I think I would rather see him get an R card over Trey, since it is a meme practically that Trey is notorious for getting R Cards. It would’ve been kind of frustrating if Trey got another, if I’m being honest. ~ ~ ~ Nothing against Ace fans, because I can understand what it is like for a character you love to get little to nothing in terms of cards, but I’m fine with him getting R cards since for the four years since this game has released in the Japan, he hasn’t had a single one until this year. So I feel like him getting another so close to first one is to make up for that? Ace got a fair bit last year in the Japanese server and there were a fair amount of other characters that got little to nothing, so I’m just glad that other characters are being given a chance over him right now, as frustrating as that may be for people who are fans of Ace. I know what it is like, but 2023 was rough for a lot of characters, and I really wanted to see more time to shine for those characters in particular. ~ ~ ~ You mentioned in your previous reply from last month, that a part of the reason why you keep up with the releases in the Japanese version is so you know what’s to come and to kind of plan ahead for the cards you want, and I am honestly the same way. I wonder how they decide what characters get what rank cards when it comes to events? I know that I cannot see into the future, but I find it unlikely that Ace won’t get something higher than some R cards at some point during the year. We’ll have to wait and see. Unrelated to Ace, but one Tsum SR card was not mentioned in the video (which is okay, they either forgot/didn’t notice) for Silver. I was confused briefly thinking, “Wait, the remaining 8 characters aren’t getting Tsum cards?”
