    I miss the footy of the 70’s and 80’s, and I miss Rex Mossop’s commentary.

    What great runners, Dorahy , Dowling ,Grothe and Ella were, all incredible...esp Man of the Match Dorahy.

    To think these young Parramatta players would dominant the 80 s . Wests should had won a premiership with this team .

    Bruce Gibbs, 19 1/2 stone, thats 123kgs kids. There were a few big uns back then, Les Boyd as well was a chunk of a man his thighs were stupid big. Also fair play to no 11 for wests , losing 6 teeth the week before but still willing to turn up for this game.

    TV changing room commentary the following week after this from Rex Mossop was that one of these sides ix coming off a loss from the previous week and " a bit hard to take " was that loss. I somehow remember that comment and it had to have been this match which Rex was referring back to. I know which team it was but I cannot say coz I'll get pillow-slappped for giving away the result.
