    Falcon wing does not open well when the sun is shining on the sensors in the roof or on the door itself. You can also see it on display, MCU , as obstacle detected in a form of lines in front of the door that does not fully open 12:02

    Gap between captains chairs isn't ideal, to be sure. You can buy after market center console assemblies. Might even be better because you can add/remove a center console as needed.

    No one seems to know how to properly use a yoke. Instead of doing the hand-off at the top of the wheel it is done underneath the airbag.

    The tesla delivery experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Imagine going to the dealership, excited for your new $50-100k car only to inspect it yourself and record defects... I knew this coming in there would be imperfection but it ain't no dealership experience with a ribbon bowtie on the car.

      Agreed. They put new owners out there in the elements and good luck. Some don't even have an associate walk out with you to your car so you're flying solo out there. It really shows how understaffed they are these days. Cutting costs and cutting customer satisfaction at the same time. But hey it's an AI company so why bother? 😅

      @@Nadzap Ouch. Yes that would be incredibly frustrating. We're spoiled here in Southern California with so many Tesla locations that does delivery, but if you're driving several hours and encounter these kinds of issues at delivery....it's really unacceptable.

    Since you have 20” wheels has your speedometer changed? When I went from 21” to 19” my speedometer went off by 5mph and that’s with the tire/wheel configuration change.

    • @Professor.Y
      @Professor.Y  หลายเดือนก่อน

      My speedometer didn't change because I basically stayed with the same wheel diameter and tire width/ratio as OEM. Remember the OEM wheel sizes for the S is 19 inch and 21 inch wheels, whereas the X is 20 inch and 22 inch, so I just did a 20 for 20 swap.

    I have about 42k miles on my 2022 MX Plaid as well as about 35 drag strip passes. Most fun car I ever owned and I didn't have any technical problems as well. Of course, lost of misaligned trim and other small issue like weatherstripping coming loose etc.

    • @Professor.Y
      @Professor.Y  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The engineering on the technical and mechanical aspects are great! But then the fit & finish on trim and weatherstripping is pretty poor by comparison heh. But overall it's been fantastic. Glad you've had similar experiences!

      @@Professor.Y I had a Model Y before the X Plaid and fit and finish, while not perfect, was a lot better than on the X. However, can't beat 1020 HP.

      @@ivegoneplaid That’s a good note - I’ve never had a Y before but have a 3 and the Model 3 also had better fit and finish than the X. Although like you said, it (my 3) was also far from perfect. And correct….doesnt really matter all that much when you have 1020 hp 😁

      I test drove a S Plaid a couple of weeks ago. Looked around the entire car and it was pristine. No misaligned panels, the paint was pretty good from what I could see and it was solid. As far as the alignment, ALL S/X’s come from the factory with too much camber and when driven in the lowest setting will create excessive toe out which will wear out the inside tread of your tires especially the rears. This has been a known issue for a while now and N2itive has a solution and UP has a solution. Some folks have just gone to an alignment shop and adjusted the camber and toe. There are shim solutions as well. When I get the Plaid I will get the N2itive setup as the stock camber arms particularly the rubber bushing are not the greatest as well as better brake pads.

    in the 3/y, you can swipe the 'now playing' card to the right so you can see tire pressure on the home screen without going into a menu. not sure if this is available on the x
    - i feel like the autosteer dislike wasn't valid. all you have to do is put your foot on the accelerator pedal and press down - then disengage autopilot so you keep the same speed you were at. i do this all the time when i disengage and it's p smooth

    • @Professor.Y
      @Professor.Y  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've been looking to see if I can swipe the now playing card and I can't. Doesn't seem like it works that way in the S/X. Next time I'm in a 3 I'll check it out and see how it works there.
      You are right, you can speed match manually when disengaging auto steer on the freeway. Of course that is what our brains are going to train our muscles to do, so we can have a smoother driving experience. My complaint with it is that it's a driver's assistance system with some limited autonomy, and I want that to extend into lane changing since lane changing is a such a core part of driving. I don't want to have to manually speed match when the system is perfectly capable of doing all of that for me, they just won't give it to me unless I pay extra :(

    Great video, but I have to disagree with you on one point. We as the consumer should not have to go over the car with a fine toothed comb looking for imperfections, that should be done by the employees at the delivery center BEFORE the consumer picks up the vehicle and/or before it leaves the factory. This is done at any other car manufacturers dealership, why does Tesla skip this important step? And why do they not properly clean the vehicle prior to the customer picking it up, that part of the purchasing process is where Tesla needs to step up their game. I had none of these issues when I picked up my Mach-E. I love Tesla, and plan on the Model X being my next EV purchase, but some little things like that annoy me about Tesla.

    • @Professor.Y
      @Professor.Y  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are absolutely right, we as consumers should not have to go through our brand new car with a fine toothed comb. It should be up to Tesla to do that.....but they don't. I know they use to be better about this in the pre-Model 3 days, but time has changed and not for the better unfortunately.

    • @ChosenMJ

      It’s a simple solution as I’ve mentioned many times, don’t buy it if it doesn’t meet your expectations, period. Yes I feel you should go behind the manufacturer to check the car. I barely trust them enough to build it to be safe but they have their standards and I have mine. I can’t do anything about something I’m not aware of or can’t see but if I see something out of place or not how it should be I’m going to say something. I check everything I buy because I’m not lazy. I just don’t trust manufacturers.
