I'm still in disbelive about how using a smartphone while driving is prohibited, but using all these touchscreens is seemingly ok. You can observe how Max is at times really distracted by all the fiddling around with the electronics and tends to steer the car too far towards the center of the road. Potentially really dangerous.
In this case it was in empty road and I think Max knows that road pretty well
I guess he was choosing sport mode or something like that
It's still really dangerous using those devices while driving.
To be honest a lot of things can be distracting, it all depends on who's driving it and if it has some brain and common sense
Max knows that road pretty well: most accidents happens when people are close to their house and "know" the road: not focused on what can happen
That is why he would NEVER ever get a driving job for me, or rent my car.. Absolutely unprofessional driving and unresponsible to his surroundings. ;)

I wish you had a camera focused on the gauge cluster because the things like gear deactivation and auto start/stop before you actually stop interests me.

Not a vw guy but they did a great job with the car inside and out. For people that like to keep thier shit clean though...that interior is a nightmare...smudges on the daily.
I think Audi is not vw at all, I mean they share a lot of mechanics and systems but from inside and outside they are very different. I've an A3 from 2016 (facelift) and my mate got a 2014 golf 7 and there is nothing that would make you think that they're brothers
I agree with the touchscreens tho. I prefer controllers with touch as alternative
not an Audi fan, but those new gen have something attractive.

When you do the stats at the begging please put the fuel type as the A8 has petrol and diesel and there’re both 3.0 litre V6’s

I love audi's virtual cockpit, but when making videos could you not use it because it makes the tach and speedo way too small for video
You can configure it however you like it. You can have rpm and speed as two big analog instruments, if you wish so.

Why all the buzz about Audi interior? To me it looks too 'clean', while all the shiny plastic only collect dirty fingerprints...which also holds for the big screens that are impractical while driving. As commented earlier, this looks like a Passat interior.....
A passat doesnt has wood, leather and other expensive materials and doesnt offer this much tech and stuff like massage seats.

I question whether a more performant engine variant at a higher price point would have buyers. Audi's own lineup cannibalizes it. If someone is interested in high performance with decent luxury added, they'd just get an RS7. A potential "RS8" with the same engine would cost more and still be slower.

What's going on with the engine line up? It's almost a year since they launched it and now you can only get the v6 tdi. No petrol engines in europe at least 👎

Anyone else who prefers buttons and switches instead of that overdigitalized touchscreen bullshit? Who else prefers an analog speedo with real digits? One display in the middle and a small one between the speedometer is enough. More is annoying. Guess I have to buy classic cars and youngtimers in the future
Agreed! This is one of the most bland interiors I've ever seen. The s class and 7 series are both light years ahead of this.
