Was bullied like this continually in high school...I understand her pain. but love it that she plastered them silly. Bullies are usually pretty stupid, they may be aggressive, but they can always be taught a lesson.
Problem is you need to do something like that to make the lesson stick.

Fantastic. The acting from the stereotypical bullies in a gang was perfect. Sadly though in reality, some would probably have a knife.
Based on what we saw here, I think that even if they did have knives their target would be able to handle them. However, the target might not have shown the same mercy as she did here. For one thing she didn't break any bones as far as we can see, also she would likely make sure that they would not be getting up anytime soon (here the main Bully and her friends did get back up to come at her again).

This movie is outstanding, Gabriella! The martial arts, stunts ,choreography and acting are superb! Kids really do need to know how to defend themselves. Decades ago my Child Psych. professor stated that there wasn't one boy in the class who couldn't defeat him BUT, if they knew he only wanted one good punch, he'd portray an opponent to be feared. He was right then and he's right now. Bravo to you and your staff!( From a VERY old black belt).

One time they went drinking and one idiot decided to insult my dad and a few friends of his. Once the idiot started getting physical, the Marine stood up and slammed the guy's head on the desk, knocking him out cold.

Throughout my school days, I've never talked that much during my free time, even though I always wanted to isolate myself, but instead I made friends that I never hung out with, but still wanting to be alone and quiet while listening to music
Even though I was a bit afraid of those who are taller than me, and probably wanted to pick a fight with him or her, which I'm not interested in fighting anyone
But I'm lucky that I didn't get into any fights, I'd probably lose because I'm skinny and don't workout like my Lil brother
But my dad's been getting into a lot of fights throughout his school days and got expelled for that, but never went back and finish highschool
Even though my dad sometimes teaches me how to defend myself, but my mom always said to not get into fights, because I'll get into trouble for that shit,
Especially when I'm getting picked on sometimes, don't like how people stare at me, which is why I always wear sunglasses during lunch
And ofc fighting or bullying are never my kind of thing to do, because All I wanted is to be a normal, cool person, ofc those who are quiet and cool like me, I don't mind being friends with them
But sometimes I think to myself that they got the wrong idea because I crack my knuckles a lot, and ik they're thinking that I can fight, I don't

I studied jujitsu, starting about age 12. The sad part? The bullies didn't realize just how much pain they were inflicting until they felt it themselves. It was never a good thing when I was defending myself. But I think maybe a few learned from the experience.
