I don't believe that. Insurance companies go by the accident record of cars of the same make, model and year. They also go by the cost of the vehicle and the average cost of vehicles in your area. They might also go by special high performance engines or handling packages typically used in racing. Number of seats? No. Two door versus four door makes a difference because they are different models. Convertibles are different from hardtops because they are different models. But two seats versus four only makes a difference if the company makes a two seat model and a four seat model, which is almost never the case. I can't think of any exceptions.
They probably thought about putting seats in as an afterthough just like everything else in the car. Like some extra fake brake lights and controls in bad places. But if they incorporate the italian flag colors and some carbon fiber then it has to be worth it.

You know I once really went to Doug's autotrader slash oversteer page and I didn't find found out more at all, I didn't even find the article about the car in question. Even Doug doesn't seem to think that people care to visit his site so he doesn't actually write more about his videos there.
Incredibly good for cold temperatures, while still able to be worn inside and in normal temperatures. But my opinion the biggest factor is that they are so light and some come with a pouch you can stuff it into, the size of a fist. Compared to a huge bulky jacket that when you walk inside you instantly want to rip it off and then when it is off you have no option but to take up half of the closest.

Then we get to see the “owner” who has to listen to Doug again repeatedly discuss whether the car is a real Ferrari. Doug is cool-and to be nice says the car is a real Ferrari. However simply asking the question makes people wonder and certainly brings up the post that the car is not celebrated among a lot of car enthusiasts. To add to this comedy is the “owner” who looks nervous throughout and right at the start shows his anxiety by mentioning whether Doug is a good driver or not. He then even points out a tricky turn they are approaching and immediately the video hits an edit. We rarely ever get to see the owner. I’m convinced this guy told Doug he’d allow him to review the car if he could be in the video. Furthermore I suspect the Ferrari was his Dad’s car who was away on business much like the bit in Ferris Bueller. Doug should have showed us video coverage of the guy asking him how to roll back the odometer reading after their drive.
My point was more in regards to how the car looks incredibly feminine when the top is folded. The 488 spider. 918 spyder and even the 570s looks great without the roof. All of those cars still have masculine edges to them. All I'm saying is that the California doesn't look all that sporty or masculine without the top.
I've seen him pick on other Ferrari's as well. With an owner in earshot. So he definitely has no qualms about it. So I don't see how someone would think he's any less genuine than normal in this video.
This is the original 2010 California with the front and back of the FF slapped on it for people who said it was not "Ferrari" enough. No way this one is more attractive than the first Pinanfarina designed California. The 2010 design is much more unique curvy and sexy. If you know what the 250 GT California Spider from the 60's looks like you "get" it. Oh and the minute you see the stacked tailpipes you know "that's something different".
I love Doug's reviews since he's the only guy that actually goes over the details/quirks of the cars, rather than just showing you cinematic shots & having 90% of the video from inside the car.
I really like having the owner on camera for the drive to add in the driver's perspective. I'm sure they don't all want to do it but it's a nice touch!

I remember Opel Insignia Tourer and its rear lights were going up with the trunk, however little extra break lights were inside the trunk frame for such occasions. Much better design decision I think

That was the 70:s, not anymore. Ferrari offers 7 years free service. Their cars are that good now. No other sports car company offers anything close to that.
They can offer 7 years because people do not drive their Ferrari's much, people may drive them 5,000 miles a year on the high end meaning in 7 years they will have 35,000 miles on them. If you look at regular cars then you will note that the average driver drives something like 13,500 miles each year. Here in Southern California I use to drive 40,000 miles a year....

Actually, the "back seats" are more of a way to make the "efficiency" look better since you could transport 4 People, not only 2............ yeah. It's that stupid, but car builders use this. Just like Volvo and this one french company limiting it's car to 180kph, which is argumented with safety. Since there is only Germany where you can go so fast (and we Germans won't by any more Volvos... tbh) the only reason is that with lower max speed you can use smaller gear ranges so it will be more consume efficient. Fuck greens...

That was the 70:s, not anymore. Ferrari offers 7 years free service. Their cars are that good now. No other sports car company offers anything close to that.
They can offer 7 years because people do not drive their Ferrari's much, people may drive them 5,000 miles a year on the high end meaning in 7 years they will have 35,000 miles on them. If you look at regular cars then you will note that the average driver drives something like 13,500 miles each year. Here in Southern California I use to drive 40,000 miles a year....

Actually, the "back seats" are more of a way to make the "efficiency" look better since you could transport 4 People, not only 2............ yeah. It's that stupid, but car builders use this. Just like Volvo and this one french company limiting it's car to 180kph, which is argumented with safety. Since there is only Germany where you can go so fast (and we Germans won't by any more Volvos... tbh) the only reason is that with lower max speed you can use smaller gear ranges so it will be more consume efficient. Fuck greens...
