I agree that this song would suit Smash Bros. more than J-Stars Victory Vs. because Smash has A more diverse cast of characters across the Nintendo multiverse and all are playable instead of some being playable while the rest are support characters. This song would be great as a memorial song for the tournament of power arc of dragon ball super that's about to end by making an AMV with all the highlights of the tournament of power arc while finishing the song with clips from goku vs. jiren round 1 and round 2.
Sure there's a lack of character interaction but like most other franchises the most important aspect in Smash is the fighting and competitive streaks of the gamers who play it and there also the trophy feature where it acts like a completion marker because there isn't only the playable roster but also the series they hail from getting trophies which means every character from across the gaming multiverse that has participated in Smash as a playable character their friends, rivals, enemies and more get some recognition for their appearances in said franchises. and lastly Smash 6 was finally given an official title and it's called Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and every Smasher that has ever been playable in franchise is automatically in the game along with currently two newcomers which are Daisy and Ridley.
but the point of the song is about rivals interacting and getting better. while not on some social level the characters of this game both playable and support interact with different characters of different series to varying effects. some with inside jokes like how luffy and luckyman share the same voice actor. smash bros is the equivalent of people smacking action figures into eachother with no drive. only brawl had that element with subspace emissary and that was ditched by the next game.
