Thanks heaps for the video. I have only had my Hero 12 for a couple of weeks & it is a massive improvement from my Hero 4. I have so much to learn & i haven't even scratched the surface.
Super coverage of the Hero 12. Voice control from a distance is a real game changer. Thanks for sharing all this as it would have taken forever to figure out as a new user. 🏆⚡👍
Hey brotha ....its amazing Can you help me out how to upload the videos to social medias like fb..ig...tiktok without compromising the quality of the video...in other words how to keep the same quality of the video when upload ....
Wow.. I just bought the GoPro hero 12 and this makes me definitely exiting to do some fun stuff with it! The only part what i dont like is the quik app, it works very slow on my phone, while i have the requirements to use it.
this is probably the best and most candid review out there, Thank you so much, I was looking to get a go pro to do my daily vlogs. I just had one question, is there a way I can focus on a particular subject on a GoPro device or is it just everything in focus and clear! Coming from a depth-of-field POV. I'm planning and hoping to use gopro for my daily vlogs for Instagram and maybe at some point TH-cam and so I'm curious and excited!
Kia Ora, thanks for watching and commenting. I’ve found the best focus level is an arms length away however you might have noticed in this video I also used the Max Lens Mod 2.0 which opened up closer and wider shots, like from the front of my snowboard which I honestly didn’t think would work. I also used a macro lens which was not an offical gopro accessory but can be found online. I hope this helps?
Great video! Found you via Instagram 😊 We use the Hero 10 Black, do you think the 12 is worth upgrading to? Love the 10 but the overheating is frustrating!
Hey there! I don’t want to give you a sales pitch but yes it’s going to be a massive jump with features for you from the 10. Where in the world and what situations do you have with your overheating mate?
@@BareKiwi Essentially when we used it for long periods of time. We tried to do a walking tour of our local park in Winter (Around 0-3 degrees in Germany) and it overheated after around 15 mimutes. We had slight problems with it when we were in NZ too, especially in summer. Still love it and use it whenever we can but over shorter recording times.
Hi Kayle! I have developed a passion for photography and have recently transitioned from using my iPhone and a Nikon professional camera to a GoPro 12 Hero with a wide lens mode 2.0. I must say that your videos stand out as particularly precise and easy to understand. Thank you for sharing such valuable content, especially for new GoPro users like myself. Could you also recommend the best app for capturing incredible shots? Looking forward to your advice and more of your informative content. Thanks again!❤
Wow. I'm overwhelmed. I'll be coming back time and time again until I can do everything in this video!! Lol In the meantime, could you please tell me the ideal setting for shooting road trips, on a sunny day, when GoPro is attached outside the car? The trees and background in the videos always come out a bit blurry. Many thanks!!
Do you have a video like this for the GoPro black 10 edition I have one of those and I just ordered the 12 but I would like to use my 10 like for best video but say battery not understanding what I need to do you seem like you know a lot
I’m a bit confused about what you’re asking here. You can film in low light conditions with the hero12 to a certain point but if it’s super low light then yes a light will be needed
I had to return mine today since it could not record for longer than 5-10 mins at 4k 30fps. I didn´t know overheating was such a huge problem for the GoPro12
Once you go desktop there are so many options. I pay and use Adobe Premiere Pro so really can’t comment on any others as I don’t honestly what the other ones are like. I do know there are whispers of Quik coming out for desktop soon but not sure about Windows 11 sorry
I still have the hero 5 and I still dont know everything. Sometimes when there are SO MANY FEATURES on a camera it can become OVERWHELMING to a NEW customer, even intimidating. I know I am not the only one who wonders why they need all those features? Which is why i will stay with my Hero 5 and Hero 360 camera
Hey there, this decision wasn’t taken lightly, it basically came down GPS or more battery life? Removing GPS was based upon usage, the team found that a surprisingly small portion of owners were using it but a large portion of users wanted better runtimes. So we opted to remove GPS as it helps us achieve the longest continuous runtimes possible. I hope that answers your question?
Thanks a lot for the answer. My question would be how was the assessment that a surprisingly small portion of owners were using GPS when GoPro has no desktop app anymore, and the Quik app is cumbersome to add those stickers? Everyone who used GPS used it with third party apps to make up for the dedicated GPS app. They could have just disabled it by default but leave the option to those that do use it to enable it, at the cost of longer runtimes. Also, why is GoPro just ditching GPS when the competition is offering an external Bluetooth Remote with GPS on it? Wouldn't that make more sense especially considering that the new bluetooth chip allows 4 BT devices to be connected at the same time? I am dissapointed of the lack of GPS and I have returned my hero 12 black. I used it especially when travelling around the world in remote places. I believe GoPro will realize that the "surprisingly small portion of owners that use GPS" is not so small in reality. By the way, the runtimes were lower than on my hero 10 black with the same settings. I like your videos. Keep it up!@@BareKiwi
Hey there, this is because your camera is set 50Hz, not 60Hz. To get back to 60 go to PREFERENCES then VIDEO then Anti-Flicker, and now change to 60Hz.
If it only worked like that. My current GoPro will not respond to voice commands , it over heats east freezes up. When it works it’s decent but I’ll,pass on any future upgrades.
Hey there, have you checked that the voice command option is set to the correct option? I had to set mine to “Australian” which kills me being from New Zealand haha. And as for overheating the only time this has ever happened to me is if I’ve left the camera accidentally on in my bag. Treat you camera like you would your phone, don’t shoot in short increments and this will also help your editing at the end of the day.
