If you check off front screen, pressing both buttons will not show presets. Meaning that to use this cool option, the cam has to show the front screen all the time.
Great and helpful video. Thank you! I have a question, has it always been the case with the Hero 12 that the display reacts badly/late to inputs? I don't have that with the 10.
I know when it launched, similar to the 11, that the input lag wasn't great! But they fixed that when the firmware was updated, or at least made it a lot better
Can you help me understand why my RAW images are only 3 or 4 megapixels when I download to my computer? And it says it records as RAW + JPEG but I haven't seen this. It seems like it's just converting to a very small JPEG, or converting to a smallish (around 11mp) DNG when importing to Lightroom.
Great video. One thought. Considering losing the background music. Your content is so good, the BGM doesn't add anything and risks distracting. Just my (barely) two cents.
I am in the same boat. Maybe I'll figure it out soon. Had the camera for a week. Maybe it's my SD card? Have no idea how to find these settings that are being shown in video. They are not available to me.
I’ve noticed that details on foliage and buildings look incredible on the GoPro 12 but there’s a little bit of over sharpening on skin tones. Do you have any recommendations to help with that? I do a lot of vlogging and talking head videos and I’m wondering if maybe I just need to set the sharpness to low?
Flat colour profile fixes this, as strange as it sounds. Prob something to do with tone mapping, it makes a night and day dif for me. 4k has more sharpening that 5.3k at the same sharpness setting too for some reason.
@@babyboy1971 You can just use a de-flat LUT, I use a free one for FilmicPro. You can also get away with Just taking the shadows down say 10% where it's needed. I can't use any of the other colour profiles on GoPro as the result is just pure trash IMO. 5.3k looks OK with medium sharpening. 4k medium sharpening is absurdly oversharpened.
It seems that you can only make RAW pictures in WIDE angle mode. As seen on your video you chose Linear mode, than chose RAW. When you saved the preset to outdoor the preset was showin WIDE again.
I do not recommend GoPro 👎 i just bought GoPro hero 12 but I found out this is not great camera bec while recording videos can't zoom out zoom in and no pause ⏸️ 🤷 paying too much money but still no function😨

Can't we capture wide frame
What SD card do you have? Because at 0.55 i dont have all of those controls so i cant get the RAM quality

Always great content!
Thanks David :)
Hi,,can we,set the Go Pro 12 in foto ratio 16/9 ?

So there‘s no way to activate RAW format?
how do you change the photo aspect ratio? I need 16:9 not 8:7!
You dont. You have to crop after.
Great stuff, thx!

Your settings look so different than mine. I can't find almost anything. 😢
You might need pro mode turned on

How do I view media on the device
Hey Megan, swipe up from the bottom of the screen 🙏
How do I get the zoom on the screen?
Just don't.
@@Anon__User it's not much of a zoom is it!
Do you tink its capable of capturing a kingfisher diving
It is but I’d imagine you really need a telephoto lens for that
Ofcourse. Just keep the camera closer.

Picture quality is not good in low light…can you help
You asked for naming presets & they delivered
Yeah. Spotted that. About time lol
Thank you!
You're welcome!

Took my first batch of test photos with sharpness all the way up. I was so dissappointed nearly returned the camera.

Fun

You don't want digital zoom, it's pointless. Why would you want to pause a recording?
that’s what editing is for. 4k120fps you’ll be able to slow it down, zoom in if you need. and still be able to have great quality
Should've done your research.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sounds like you bought an action camera and didn't want an action camera 🤷♂️
