God damit. I didn't want to subscribe to yet another woodworking site, but yours really is good. Not over produced, and close to what I do. Keep up the good work. And yes, I subscribed. LoL
Since its available for supply, better to choose it for lower cost than dewalt, it helps to reach my goals faster, am to happy for the video you inspired me to make a faster decision.
Just bought one of these, cheers for the video, very helpful. If you’re thinking about getting another extractor I’d highly recommend a Camvac. Fairly cheap for how good they are. Way better than a shop vac for a thicknesser. Cheers
Hi Dominic, I'm now looking into buying a camvac like you recommended. Do you have any recommendations on which model I should get? I'd like it to work for all my tools/machines on my ultimate workbench. So table saw, thicknesser, chopsaw, and powertools etc. Thanks for your help! Ryan
Makita thicknesser, among the best, love mine, as to your use,it's a bit naff, you find it better to have a removable top section of bench & have planer on a scissor lift jack hoist
Might have missed this in in your video. But how do you find snipe with yours? Maybe I’ve got unlucky but it’s dreadful on mine even with hours of tinkering with the out feed tables.
Im thinking about buying one in next few months, cause of its being a Makita (a Teal Team fan) and 7.5A motor. Is it still solid after all that time and use?
I like makita too! If I'm honest it hasn't been used everyday, but when I do use it it's reliable and chomps through whatever I use it for. It's probably the best thicknesser you can buy in this cost bracket I'd say 👍

Hi thanks for the recommendation! They do look good don't they! I'll 100% keep that on my shopping list!

Great video, birch plywood is always quite hard on the blades
Cheers mate!
Yeah it definitely is, but these blades seem to be holding up 😬😬

I have my chopsaw on a scissor lift. A bit overkill for the thicknesser is my eyes. This way literally takes 5 seconds to pull out and be ready to use
I have the same machine great bit of kit

Erm I dont think its that bad, well not bad enough for me to notice anyway.
Snipe is really really bad on mine too. I've tried nearly everything, all I can think left to do is mess with the pressure of the infeed roller?

@@thelondoncraftsmanworkshop Thats good news, thanks.
Nice machine, seems to be more robust that the Dewalt version.
It is very good, I havnt got anything bad to say about it yet 😁
Did you say you have one for sale? How much do you want for it?
I cant remember what I was selling and if I still have it?
@@thelondoncraftsmanworkshop I thought you meant a thicknesser?
Ah I think I had a de walt one but that sold a while back
