As a former tile contractor, general contractor,and cabinet builder, now retired at 79......your channel has me waiting for each and everyone of your videos. This is a real hands on remodeling/reincarnation of the former convent. The quality of your tools, workmanship, and choice of materials and appliances speaks volumns of your dream for this fantastic building. Everyone that has and will continue to work there should be very proud of what "the team" has accomplished. Only wish I was younger so I could work with you on such a remarkable project. Billy, you really should get two (2) dishwashers. Oh, my word! The island cabinet looks great with only one coat of Osmo on the top. Good idea to put three coats on the wear surfaces. Go ahead and get the chandelier that you really want. It's only money, especially since it's not my money. LOL 😆. Appliances look great, good choices. I hope that the instructions are not written in Italian only. 😅
Yes, i was thinking the same, if you are going to run the convent as a business enterprise you may need an industrial dish washer, and washing linen facilities. But Cracking job on the kitchen Billy!!! ❤
There is such a lovel vibe in the kitchen with the ceiling beams, stone tiled floor and soft lighting. And the stunning island centrepiece! Its earthy, calm and uplifting.

You're doing exactly the right thing for the kitchen: i.e. you're not following any trends. Everything you have done & added thus far is completely timeless & right for the period of the building. Nothing will date quickly & look out of style in a couple of years. Everything screams high quality & immaculate taste. Keep on cracking on dear Billy!

Billy, that is a spectacular looking kitchen! My only concern would be the placement of the appliances. For example, if there is a large, heavy pot of potatoes cooking, it would be convenient to have a sink nearby so the cook doesn't have to walk too far to empty the water. That's when you have to think like a chef when deciding where to place everything. Maybe studying the layout of successful restaurant kitchens might help. Whatever you decide, it will be a beautiful kitchen 🙂

As I write this, 4K plus people agree with me that this is an amazing series of videos. You, Ryan, Simon, your brother, your father, and all the other people involved are now TH-cam personalities. I have tried watching other videos of this nature, but they are not as interesting, so your personality must draw others like me in. When you started on the island with 150 grit, it looked to me to be too aggressive but the finish is amazing. CRACK ON!!!! BTW I think you are gonna need another fridge.

@@fabrisseterbrugghe8567 If the kitchen is used commercially for yoga retreats, they will need a much larger refrigerator as well as more freezer storage. The current oven/cooktop will handle the demands but a single family sized refrigerator I seriously doubt can.

That piece for the island is incredible and fits so well in the room, it truly seems it ws made for the space. What a find! Stunning range cooker. Sounds as if all the appliances will be beautiful and coordinated. Your island has gorgeous wood and you’ll have it back looking better than when it was new. Even if Osmos is that protective, I wouldn’t allow anyone to put down anything on it, or your counters, or furniture, or anything in that Convent, without using coasters. Don’t take chances once you have the public in. When your Brother is done with the organ, you might have him design coasters (like restaurants use), and have mass of them printed. Michael is so talented bet he could dream up a cool design or logo! That kitchen looks so wonderful already!🥰

The kitchen is developing extremely aesthetically gorgeous . Very excellent choices. If ever you decide to add electricity to the island a consideration is to drop power down to the island from above, following one of the beams. Of course it would have to be a pole dropped from the beam in the same style and finish as your appliances . Just thinking out loud. You truly have put a lot of love into your work. Billy, everything is coming together. Just beautiful! - However, I do not see any outlets above counter height to plug in mixers and other small appliances. The ones you do have look like they all all going to be too low or behind the cabinetry.

Your island has gorgeous wood and you’ll have it back looking better than when it was new.
Even if Osmos is that protective, I wouldn’t allow anyone to put down anything on it, or your counters, or furniture, or anything in that Convent, without using coasters. Don’t take chances once you have the public in.
When your Brother is done with the organ, you might have him design coasters (like restaurants use), and have mass of them printed. Michael is so talented bet he could dream up a cool design or logo!

From the beginning, we all have seen how capable and knowledgeable Billy is. All of his friends and family are also very knowledgable and experienced. There should never be a question about what might get left out of his projects. I am always in awe at how organized and professional each project is and the Chateau is proof. Keep up the great work Billy and team, most of us know you got this!
A Christmas time celebration at the convent for the town would be heartwarming. They hear the bells, come listen to a small concert and get cider and hot chocolate from the new kitchen. Such an amazing job.

The kitchen is developing extremely aesthetically gorgeous . Very excellent choices. If ever you decide to add electricity to the island a consideration is to drop power down to the island from above, following one of the beams. Of course it would have to be a pole dropped from the beam in the same style and finish as your appliances . Just thinking out loud. You truly have put a lot of love into your work. - However, I do not see any outlets above counter height to plug in mixers and other small appliances. The ones you do have look like they all all going to be too low or behind the cabinetry.
