I did Btech then MBA then a community manager job for 1 year. I got inspired by the atmosphere and decided to start my own work in music as freelancer. However, it could not succeed due to covid effects on industry. I have to chose to go back to job and I am motivated to work as client service associate in Ad Agency. As it combines both artistic and business side of things on one side one has to manage the client on other side the creative people. And trust me managing creative people is not easy! After watching this I am so inspired to continue hunting for that job. No matter how many failures I get because I am sure there would be someone who would think like all people here. Gritt, irregularities, being out of path is all what my life has been BUT. There was always a learning!
I think what you mentioned about always being a student and showing up like it is the first day is super important for not only advertising jobs, but all jobs! Great tips!
This is so interesting because it seems a lot of these answers are based on if they were hiring for the creative team, there’s so many roles that need a range of different skillsets
Cute video with cute platitudes but speaking from my experience as a job seeker, the only way to land a job in advertising is if you've already had a job in advertising.
I like Devika, Russ, 2:22 lady, Tracy, (second speaker) better they know whats more important than a smiling yes man without experience. We need more employers like them, the rest of the speakers I find really not so open minded and very stereotypical about younger generation, and Devika said that you have to get engaged when there are problems to be solved. I'm an advertising student and I find my teachers are very close minded about everything and it hinders my creativity
I think a question you have to ask yourself nowadays is if I had worked in some top level jobs. Then I lost that position and couldn't under any circumstance get back at that level again, how would I cope with doing say bottom level labour work. That is the condition I've been dealing with for several years. I've had the experience, I've done the work, I have the education. But I can't get back in again.

This video is so special to me as a job seeker. Thank you for compiling this content.
This was by far the most helpful and valuable video about landing a job in advertising that I've seen
