The British Gameboy Advance magazine GBX used to come with a VHS tape on the cover and one of the tapes had a huge feature abotu Crawfish, hopefully someone's uploaded it to TH-cam.

Driver: parallel lines is one of my personal favorite free-roamers.
That and the fact that they put a cheat that lets you play as anybody i thought was pretty kool

I always love seeing older games take chances at something ambitious for the time and successfully pull it off in spite of the limitations of the platform(s)
It definitely reminds me of the original Grand Theft Auto. Also kind of reminds me of GTA Chinatown Wars, city design wise.

I get that people hate the first mission in Driver 1. I remember playing the demo on PC and later we could get our hands on the full game and it was brutal, we spent days trying to figure out how to pass that mission but when we (by that I mean I) beat that first mission it was game on! It was so satisfying to get through that and once I figured out in what order the challenges to be done I can do it after a couple of tries every time I want to play some Driver. That mission is also in Driver:SF which made me giddy when I frist saw it :D

Hey Minimme, I was wondering, are the "graphically" impressive videos completely gone? Because you haven't done one in almost a year. I understand you wanted to cut back on them but I'm starting to notice how long it's been.
I've started getting into retro racing titles, been hammering outrun coast to coast on PS2. Might give driver a go now thanks to you! The music sounds unreal
I had this game as a kid! I remember loving it but having no idea what was going on. What a blast of nostalgia.
Played it in the gba era on the sp. Had more fun than the pc and ps1 version because of the lack of the garage intro.

I knew about the DRIV3R version for Gameboy Advance but I never knew that there was a Driver (1) version for Gameboy

You should check out driver 76, it was built from the ground up for PSP
You should highlight X and Faceball for the gameboy. They looked 3D and were very impressive.

Have you checked out Parallel Lines? That's the DRIVER I remember popping in the most. Really digging your videos. It's quite lovely learning more about these weird games I played to death and forgot all about. Nostalgic in the cosiest way

Crawfish is a developer company logo that always makes me smile when I see it. Like you said at the beginning of the video, they have an amazing roster of video games for Nintendo's handheld consoles. It's actually amazing. I remember loving Ecks Vs Sever 1 and 2 based on the gameplay and the music. They're always powerful in those components, but with Driver and Ecks Vs Sever, there aren't enough songs to be played in the game.
You should really check out Crawfish's last game: a port of the 1990 Amiga game Wings. Because someone decided what the GameBoy Advance really needed was a World War I flight simulator!
You should do a review of Driver: Parallel Lines. One of the most underrated games in the Driver series. Despite the criticism it got, I really liked it.
They were really fun to play , probably I will play them right now but I have many good memories ,

Its a real shame since sometimes I found the demake more than the original, star wars the force unleashed on ps2 was great.

Wow, I had no idea about this game. It sounds pretty awesome for a GBC adaptation.
This was actually my favorite GB game. If I remember right, RBRB lights was a password I used the most. I used to write HexDec cheat codes for it, so I made custom cars and custom paint colors. Really great game.

Once emulated the story part of this one years back. The "Test Stuff" cheat (if I recall that's what it was called in the menu) was interesting as well. That title song was the only track I recognized, and I find it interesting that PS1 has only 2 of 3 minutes from it (every PAL and NTSC versions I've played had that), while PC has it all. In CD-audio even.
I played this game, and it was so much fun, the final mission is awesome btw
i LOVED this game as a kid. I still play it from time to time. I had driver 2 and 3 on GBA too, 3 was the most impressive but i never got particularly far with it. I mostly just liked driving around lol

In saying that the GBA was the first hand held I took around with me everywhere and I have started to buy GBA games for my SP to play again. I will definitely pick this up.
Played this a lot when it was released. Between Pokemon yellow, GTA 1 and 2 and Driver. Sadly I don't own it anymore. I remember this thing being fun but short

I remember playing this game a lot. Totally forgot about it. When I think Driver on portable I think of Driver 2.
I remember I played the OG driver at my buddies place and was amazed...got the GBC version and was utter disappointed. BUT played the sht out of it. And now 20 yrs later shit was gold

I knew about this one, actually. It was the very first Gameboy game I ever played. Back then I didn't know there was a PlayStation version. I was actually bored out of my mind with this version.
Man. It would be great to see Driver 4 come out on new gen systems do 3 times as good as the predecessors and give sandbox games some competition .

I picked it up last week and I have to say it is very hard for me. Took me forever to just get to the 4th mission since I had no idea how to navigate well.
I played it when I was a kid and pick it up again a few years ago. I really enjoyed it on Game Boy color. I'm still waiting for you to do Tom Clancy's rainbow 6 on the Game Boy color and Tom Clancy's rogue spear on the advance.
Review the Ratatouille movie tie-in.
That and the first cars game were my first childhood games on the PC.
