Hi. Thanks for producing your video. The vast majority of WVO/WMO show the entire system, like yours. What would be a much more appealing video How-To would how the actual centrifuge was made. Most videos use a lathe to machine their inner rotating piece. I am also curious to see the seal between the rotating shaft and the collecting part. Even including the failed previous versions is helpful so that the same mistakes aren't done again. Again thanks for your video.

If you centerfuge it before the filters, youll save a lot on filters. The centerfuge will remove most of what those filters are catching. Put the filters on the exit side of the centerfuge and they will take way longer before needing to be replaced because the bulk of the contamination will be removed by the centerfuge.
I've been getting ready to build my own centrifuge. My thought is using drum breaks for the rotor and a variable speed angle grinder to spin it. Figuring out an affordable and safe rotor for those speeds has been difficult. I wish you spent more time explaining your rotor and how you made it.
I honestly didn’t think anyone cared I’m sorry I haven’t posted a informative video on how it was built what all would you like to know? I’ll make a video explaining I do think I have posted videos about how I built it on the 3d printer
I’m sorry I haven’t responded sooner. The video was only a example more or less I don’t recommend spinning a disc at 10,000 plus rpm unless you got all the safety protocols in place but I mean do it at your own risk I suppose lol just saying it can be really dangerous if done wrong and that’s one of the reasons I stopped making them. You basically have to figure out the rcf which means relative centrifugal force. / and with that you can do a calculation on what system you have and what specific gravity your pulling from the rotor itself. And with the process of things have different mass you can clean the oil using artificial gravitational force such as this one or whatever system you have in place. I wish I could help people build them but ya gotta do it right. Always expect the worst haha
how does the oil go down? does it just kind of spray out of the rotor from spinning?edit:nvm, as the rotor fills, the stuff closer to the center is lighter, while water is closer to the edges and stays trapped
Honestly I don’t remember how I had the thing hooked up but it was just a experiment more or less and it worked for what it was not great tho obviously lol
Sometimes just experimenting with ideas and seeing how they work, the reason I’ve changed so much is to try and get better results, and also trying to keep the oil in the bowl at the farthest points from the center shaft for greater g forces for best filtering
@@Solaractivities same, I haven't quite figured out a free alternative for heating the oil but I'll let you know as soon as I find one. Have you found yourself a treadmill motor yet?
Would you mind sharing the STL for the rotor? The centrifuge is hands down the most expensive part of getting into black diesel and Im having a hard time justifying paying PA $250 for the high pressure system that doesnt even come with the pump...
@circuit7892 I actually found it and saw the yt linked me back to your channel. Already downloaded, just waiting for petg to arrive. I want you to know as broke as I am tight now, there is no way I could possibly begin experimenting with black diesel without this file. Its a game changer for me. I really appreciate that you put it out there for dudes like me
That’s awesome buddy thanks for sharing! been running it for years. It’s better than paying 6 bucks a gallon here in Kaliforniastan
Thanks lol it is worth it

42 is the answer! Just discovered a free waste oil supply and might try rig something along these lines up to run off my dremel tool.

I built one using a torque converter but I have vibration issues. I'm considering using a drum break, did you made it ? Did it worked at high speed ?
dear god please dont
Hi. I'd love to build this sane system. Might you have a step by step guide with how to assemble it and what parts are needed?

Hi can you sharing stl file for that rotor? Help a lot. Thank for sharing this vídeo.
What was your reasons for each iteration/version of rotor? What have you learned each version?

@@Solaractivities have you thought about making it taller?
@@greenacresfarms I have for better flow rate I just sold my two rotors so I might have to make a taller one for higher flow thanks for the idea lol
Please show us how you built it
Add heat and it will improve your process massively.
Yeah I know I’m just limited on resources I’m doing this without any money

I posted the file on thingiverse under centrifuge for waste oil

Rotor?
It will be really kind of you to teach me step by step on how to make this machine
No problem you can add me on Facebook Drake Riley from Michigan I’ll give you all the info I’ve helped a few other people out as well
