I don't think it's accurate to call these people " hoarders,". Not if you've watched any of the programs on it. Trying to go get this man to part with his bicycle seems cruel.
I think it's sad that they pressured him to sell his bike. Once these treasures are gone, they're gone forever. money comes and goes but you can't replace something like that.
My feelings are that if a reserve is put on it, they don't want to get rid of the item. We put to much value on things that are not worth anything but memories for us.
I love how people find items to keep that they forget they had. If you have stuff in long term storage for years , how much does it actually matter to you? I just can not understand this train of thought.
1. you do not get rid of family photographs and family history, 2. you ask second opinions about the value of the stuff you want to sell, especially if an expert asks you if you want to sell it.
Linen covered books are really in trend for decorating so this is how I would sort them out. You can get easily get 2 to 4 pounds for each of those depending on size and if in good condition, especially the neutral colors and it does not matter what those books are about actually. It is sad that the original BMW featured in the ET-movie could not stay in the family to a nephew or even a friend's kid.
I soooooo much prefer this show to the "How Clean is Your House'. There has been so much 'reality' about filthy gagging homes lately that a programme more like the RoadShow (what was it called?) is a real delight and suits Aggie a lot more.
I certainly hope that the photo album and Bible isn’t from his family. I cannot imagine an good appraiser recommending selling family heirlooms. Otherwise ditch the expert.
after watching this, I'm not sorry for my son and daughter at all. They'll go thru' my stuff, sell sell and toss. They'll make at least minimum wage. For one of them. Maybe. I am not going to do it!!!
😆 so what I’m seeing is they sold items but still didn’t make back what the cost of storage has been so they basically spent more and list beautiful items for nothing
What a lovely guy Robbie is! Such a nice person. Good luck Robbie and Tracey! Really sweet couple! Xxx
Don’t let her put those books in your garage! They’ll never come out!

Indeed, no clutter, not just ‘stuff’!
Yes. I agree. He could put it up on his wall as a sculptural piece.
Aggie!!!!!! So good to see you!!! June from Maine USA
Yes,I said the same thing.

Robbie is such a sweetheart!

It doesn’t matter to them. They are just crazy when it comes to the stuff.
Tracy seems to want to throw out things that someone would happily buy at a charity shop. So wasteful.

This video makes British people look like the most humble and friendly people. Which they are😭 I wanna move to the UK
That toleware lightfixture is higly sought after!

I believe you're thinking of The Antiques Roadshow!
The auctioneer for Robbie in this episode is much better
make sure books are still relevant and accurate. a lot of magazines are online at libraries. no need to keep, unless collectable. and most are NOT.
I never keep books anymore - I pass them on to a new reader, or donate them. I just have a few old ones.
I keep books for decoration too. No books makes me concerned.
Storage costs are a waste. Long term.
I feel bad for the fish :(
Definitely, so many goldfish live this way.

I agree. They could do some research and possibly reunite those with descendants.
Same to you as well. 👍💕
Ok, Iv’e come across a Chanel that declutters and sells ..... I’ll give it a go!
Somewhat sad when the children have no idea the worth of the parents things
Love this storage hoarders! ALABAMA girl!
Leave it to Alabama to misspell Charlene....
Excuse me! My name is not misspelled, Charlene is a form of Charles. My name has the Sh sound. Stick to what you know, and alabama is a great state.
@@keepdancingmaria Not misspelled at all! My friend's name is spelled the same way and we're from the UK. Rude!
@@helenemillar5175 I agree, it was rude. I don't know what got into me.
@@sharlenecarroll1161 I think keepDancing was pulling your leg. Sometimes what is humourous and friendly looks unkind when typed out.
Why do so many people want to use the money from what they sell to go on a vacation. Use it for better reasons. Pay bills, savings, etc.
30:32 chandelier, done
Stencil is called grease on signs.
Hold on.... does he have a Fairy collection on his shelves??????
I Wouldn't get red of the bike. NO Way
I feel sorry for my children!
MsJoybird1 me too! You should see my basement and house!

Mmmm, get rid of your junk, we will be happy to buy it from you and turn around and sell it for three times as much we bought it from you..
Don't put a stupid reserve on stuff! They rarely sell !
I can only understand about 10% of what "the bestfriend" is saying (1st story)
Glad I'm not the only one. Have no trouble understanding anyone else. Maybe she has a speach impediment
The blue Vases are Japanese, not Chinese!
Tell us, did the buyer get a deal?
Well hi
Hay dear where is your another pattern
$120,000+ spent by my two brothers so far
This auctioneer sure is strange
That Prince Charles one was probably worthless
In every one of these episodes, the hoarders refer to their storage units as an "Aladdin's cave." So unoriginal.
Ok, Robbie is hot
He has a certain charm.
