    The sister's over-reaction to the discovery of the money is ridiculous. I'd have to lock her in the storage unit until she calmed down.

      Looks like very low quality though. Sad that they didn’t have the taste/knowledge to get finer pieces.

    They need to go to a bigger auction house. Not many people there.

    These hoards are so clean! American hoards usually include animal feces, rotten food, and the occasional dead cat.

      Watch Call The Cleaners, same thing in the UK.

      The UK also have houses like that, I've seen another British hoarder show (there should be episodes on this channel as well). This is just specifically focused on storage in a lockup, garage, etc... And focused on earning some moolah from it.

      Both from the UK...Watch "How Clean is your House?'', Also "Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners" where clean people help hoarders clean up their houses.

    Sister emptied storage stash is going to “ pay off my credit cards”?… I don’t even have one let alone two or three. Did I hear that lovely gentleman say he paid £50,000 for storage over 27 years, emptied his storage out and sold stuff for less than £250?

  • @uddelhexe3545

    Have to go for auctions. Furniture in this style costs in cheap shops as copies not even massive more than they pay here. What?

    I'd love to know why these presenters seem to be compelled to repeat everything at least twice and preferably three or four times.

    • @JojoplusBo

      very annoying but it’s most likely to “ fill “ in time … just show us more stuff instead of repeats …arghhh.

    Is that common for british people to have a bunch of storage? I’m from America and I don’t feel that’s a thing here

    • @jcbrookbanks1755
      @jcbrookbanks1755 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Personally I don't know any people who have these, but I have driven past these storage units on the motorway so there must be a demand for it. Remember as well that UK houses are tiny in comparison to American houses, about 800 square feet on average in the UK vs 2200 in the US, so we have a lot less space to keep things.

    • @j_3nn4
      @j_3nn4 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      i’m from america and around her there’s a few storage unit places. i think people who use it are mainly people who live in tiny houses/apartments or are moving or just want a separate place to keep stuff idk. it’s not that common but i’ve definitely seen them

    • @cindy-ml7vo
      @cindy-ml7vo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      It's a thing in the US too, but it may depend on the area. We created the tv show 'Storage Wars'.

    • @bakerfritz4681
      @bakerfritz4681 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We definitely have hoarders here. There are something like three different Hoarders series dedicated to American hoarders, and our hoarders tend to be a lot trashier. The British hoards almost seems charming in comparison.

    • @annas4714
      @annas4714 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm from Canada. Keeping things in storage is mostly for people from older generation. Modern people don't get too attached to things, and it's a throw away society - "don't fix it, toss it" kind of mentality is going on.

      That depends upon your situation, flush with cash or stony broke. Holes in your shoes or a pair of lightly used second hand ones. Been there brought the shoes.
