The best intro in the gameverse for the last entry. Say what you will about the game’s bugs, but everyone has to admit this intro is plain out awesome.
Sinc when was it confirmed this was the last game?? Every arc for the anime has at least one game representing it and since SAO will be adapting the Unital Ring arc (which actually IS the final arc) there’s definitely gonna be a game representing it. SAO Progressive (the new movie coming out sometime this year) MIGHT get a game but it’s unlikely that it’s getting a game since Ordinal Scale didn’t. So since the anime is getting at least one new season and each arc has a game to coincide with it why would this be the final game?

It's already been stated that this follows the anime timeline up until the very moment the war of the underworld begins, after which it'll go a completely different route - that and there's this new red haired girl, but most importantly of all - it's the game universe, so things will be wildly different. That said though...

Kapotth they have a radio version of the song. I believe most of it is cut out but you can listen to the beginning and the end verses
I’d rather wait longer for this kind of stuff instead of getting a glitchy game I think they are doing the right thing here

It’s not nearly as glitchy as past games, the gameplay is very solid and actually quite enjoyable but the frame rate and loading is quite bad
DigimonVids yeah but again that mostly a issue on consoles it’s not 100% the games fault the game was made in 2020 bad the consoles aren’t really up to date but the next gen will play this game at a better FPS (the looks like it runs at about 30-40 FPS on average)

Freaked out for a second since I thought it got pushed back to October when it showed the release date at the end until I realized it was written day then month
I hope they put some improvements during the delay, it's already in my Steam cart
For those who don't know, Bandai actually said so too in their website but you can look it up, Lycoris is the name of the red flower that appeared in the intro and in many animes, it symbolises sadness, sorrow, and reunion of lost friends or loved ones, which is the case of Kirito and eugeo
Fun fact, you can find the character that represents the singer in the game.
Will be picking this game up for xbox one. 📀 just keep them JRPG coming Bandai Namco.

Can we all just agree for a second that they would make so much money if they just made an actual MMO with an original story based in the timeline of the Sao incident that didn’t have Kirito and the gang in it for the most part (Id be fine with some mentions of “Hey, did you here about this Solo player who took down this PK guild all by himself?”) like I would buy that in a heartbeat. Oh yeah before you comment, I am not hating on this game T.T

Holy crap how many games does this anime have now its like they keep pumping out games every quarter of the year.
Not really, the last game was released in February 2018. For the most part they try to release one game a year, but this game had a 3 year development cycle. They also release dlc to keep the games up and expand the story. This game is supposed to be the end of the SAO gameverse.

@@girvans.2293 Unital Ring isn't even finish yet. It will probably be anywhere between 2-4 years before Unital Ring gets it's ending. As far as a game adapting it producer Futami said that game would take longer than the 3 year development cycle that Alicization Lycoris took to make. He then said please have mercy. So I think it's possible we might get a Unital Ring game, but not for at least 5 years and by that time most people probably would have forgotten the events of the gameverse. So it would probably have the gameverse characters, but be it's own standalone adventure similar to how AW vs SAO had gameverse characters, but isn't cannon in the gameverse.

After watching the anime i am surprised this isn't getting a PEGI 18, turns out the developers are more constrained about the game's content.
