Well, actually SM got that patent, and they (SM) try it for EXO's lightstick Eribong 3.0, and i think that's just one the right thing they did for the money they got (from investment and EXO's Growl popularity) 😁🤭

This is still one of their best segments of exoplanets. I got one of the lucky 66,000 tickets competing over 1M users trying to score a ticket and Elyxion dot was amazing. Exo concerts have always been worth the time and money to see.

This is the party section of exos concert ☺️ yeah they tend to start crazy but also dont wanna go too crazy at the beginning to tire out the crowd so they usually have noticeable sections during the concert that are reserved for bringing down the energy and building it up.

The lightstick is control by bluetooth. Exo lightstick which called eribong is the first lightstick with bluetooth! During concert, it can change colour to the flag for each country they visited, is that awesome?

been to a lot of concerts ( Kpop and non Kpop artists) but no one beats EXO boys with regard to live vocals and stage presence. They are some of the few who do sets as well and you would be in awe how they manage to be consistent within that 20min set. Their concerts are worth every penny.
It still amazes how they can perform for 20 mins straight without rest. How EXO catch up their breath is during dance break.
Don't worry, there is endless content in front of you. I've been exol for 10 years, and as someone who is chronically online, there are still a few things I can't keep up with to watch 😂
14:19 I'm sure others have explained, but~ EXO/SM was the first in kpop to have lightsticks this advanced in bluetooth technology, with EXO's version 2 of their lightstick. Using an app to assign your lightstick to your specific seat at a specific concert, allows the lighting coordinators to control its color and blinking functions to make pattern and effects. For their most recent tour(using version 3 of their lightstick), they had a section where the national colors of whatever country they were performing in would light up. They've also done rainbow seas and blinking starscapes^.^
It's kinda funny, that EXO-Ls actually had to wait a while to not only get our official fan name(in late 2014) but we had to wait longer to get our first official bong-style lightstick(in late 2015); especially considering EXO's popularity. Now a lot of groups nearly debut with those!~ But EXO did swiftly evolve one of the most iconic lightsticks, a leader in the technology~~~ It's also often top of lists for its clean, simplistic (but recognizable) look, too^.^
It's also very bright and surprisingly heavy, especially in the top! EXO have joked many a time about EXO-Ls using it as a weapon as they head home after concerts, if creeps try to mess with them (along with ordering fans to stay together and maybe go out to eat a meal, if it's not too late~)^.^

Chen is EXO's constant rock. He sings the chorus and reinforces it with adlibs. EXO has always said that they cannot perform without Chen. Suho is very humble and likes to make the members shine. This is what matters most to him. Although he is talented in everything, I love it very much. He was playing a role in a movie, so he shaved his hair haha. In general, he stayed with that hair for a long time because he loved it. The only idol who dares to do that hahaha

D.O's bald head is pre-military, actually, for his role in swing kids. They grow their hair out while the military, so they usually come back with all their hair, just maybe a bit shorter than usual.

to see EVERY single performance. I’ve been following them for 5-6 years for two-five hours a day, and STILL come across new ones. I’m so thankful for the reactors who come up with all of these performances.

I've been watching EXO videos for the past 3 years & it's been only the tip of the iceberg. Admittedly, I keep watching my faves over & over, but there's so much more that I haven't seen yet. Maybe there is no end! Also, Chanyeol was my bias ever since I watched Goblin kdrama and fell in love with the theme song, which he sings with Punch. But then Xiumin gradually sneaked up on me & he's my bias wrecker. He is so underappreciated, and in my opinion, is a great dancer.
Yay still so much to watch! He really does just fill my heart with happiness when I see him.
my favorite performance of all time from them is "Call me baby + 너의 손짓 Touch it + 소름 Chill" and it is safe to react to!! the entire performance was amazing from the vocals to the acting/"musical-ness" of it and i constantly go back to rewatch it. i also recommend "전야 The Eve + Forever" as well, the transition is so cool!!! these are all from the same concert

Hello you are amazing people I love your reactions to EXO I've been a fan of them for 11 years and I can tell you they have a lot of content for you to watch and then the will release new stuff to over the years. And yes D.O head is shaved for his movie Swing Kids he plays a soldier. When it comes to EXO concerts they are the best they literally won awards for their concerts and they have record-breaking ticket sales fastest selling tickets in the world 0.2 seconds beating their old record of 0.4 seconds. They have so many live performances on TH-cam including a lot of concert footage even the solo performances and subunit performances so you have a lot of EXO to watch don't worry it's not over by a long shot.
EXO was one of the first Kpop artists to have a lightstick with bluetooth technology. (Although a lot of newer versions of other groups' lightsticks now also have bluetooth.) At events and concerts, this allows the lighting technicians to have control of the fans lightsticks in order to make it flash and pulse to the music however and whenever they want. In EXO concerts, the lighting technicians will set up whole light shows using the fans lightsticks that corresponds with the performances on stage, which makes fans even more a part of the show.
EXO's lightstick is called Pharynx, or more commonly Eribong -- Eri comes from the nickname given to EXO-Ls and Bong means light in Korean. EXO's lightstick has EXO's official hexagon symbol on top and it's made up of the letters E X O -- you see the E on the left edge of the hexagon with the X in the center and the 🛑 shape makes the O -- which is close to EXO's original logo for their debut "Mama" MV.
Almost all Kpop groups have an official lightstick. It's a pretty standard item to have for anyone who attends a Kpop event. Therefore, if you Google any group with the word lightstick you will find several sites where they are for sale. But be warned, they are usually fairly expensive because most are more than just a light. :D
EXO's fan color is "Cosmic Latte" (greyish-tan) -- Cosmic Latte is said to be the color that is created when you combine all the colors of the stars together. (As otherworldly beings, even EXO's official color is linked to the group's concept.) However -- as we see introduced in EXO's "Power" MV -- each of the 9 EXO members also have their own official color.
Most lightsticks are primarily one color -- whatever color represents the group. For example, BigBang's lightstick is yellow and it has a crown on top because BigBang are known as The Kings of Kpop. SHINee's official lightstick is shaped like a diamond, and if you hold it up to a solid surface and look at the reflection the diamond makes, you will see a 5 point star to represent the 5 members of SHINee. SHINee's symbol is a diamond because they SHINe(e) like diamonds and it lights up an aqua blue/teal color because pearl aqua is SHINee's fan color. NCT's lightstick has a big square block on top, which is supposed to look like a building because NCT and their fans are part of the Neo City, and it lights up Pearl Neo Champaign (neon lime green). Red Velvet's lightstick has the letters RV inside a cupcake shaped dome that lights up red. Mamamoo's lightstick is shaped like a green and white radish because moo sounds like the Korean word for radish. BTS' lightstick is the ARMY bomb so it looks like a TNT-type bomb and it lights up purple. BlackPink has a pink hammer. Stray Kids' lightstick has a red and silver compass symbol on top and it glows red because their official color is red, etc.
However, what makes EXO's lightstick extra special is that it's multi-colored to represent each of the member's individual colors. And, depending on which member of EXO is on stage at the moment, the lighting technicians often change the color of the lightsticks to the color that represents that member, or goes along with the theme of the stage, etc. (When attending a concert fans now use an app to sink their seat number with your lightstick, so that the lighting technicians can have control of their lightstick.)
Although, some group's lightsticks aren't even sticks, but they are bracelets or watch-style lights that you can wear. It all depends on the group concept. And some groups that have been around a long time, or whose company likes to continuously come out with new merchandise, have multiple versions of lightsticks. Each are very unique and specific to the group.
Although, in some older Kpop group's performances, from their older concerts or live performances -- such as any EXO live performance that took place before 2015, which was when EXO's official lightstick was released -- you might see that the audience only has plain stick lights or even just glow sticks, because before there were lightsticks, fans brought or were given glow sticks in the group's color.
And even before glow sticks were a thing, fans would all wave a balloon that was the color of their group. The disadvantage to waving balloons was that the artists on stage couldn't see the balloons when the lights were off, which is one of the reasons why they now have lightsticks.
Fun fact: G-Dragon, BigBang's leader, was the one who came up with the idea for the first lightsticks, because he wanted to be able to see and identify all of the VIPs (BigBang's fans) in the audience. G-Dragon was the one who designed the very first lightsticks and they were so popular among VIPs that other groups started to come up with their own versions of fan lights, which has now become a standard part of the Kpop industry.
During award shows and events where multiple groups are present, the group's lightsticks and balloons are, and were, an important way for fans to show their support for their group and to tell everyone around them who they are there to see, etc
I’ve been an EXO-L for so long that I’ve watched the two-hour Chinese variety shows multiple times out of desperation for content, so I don’t think I’ve missed much. Unfortunately, there’s a lot you probably can’t get away with, like music award shows, full episodes of some Korean tv, and almost anything from Japan. But it never hurts to try. I’ve seen one reactor get away with something another had blocked.
By the way baekhyun let us know there's a lot of things going on in 2024 EXO new album and solo albums from the members and also cbx is returning finally. Kai has a virtual concert coming out in January he recorded it before he left for the military I'm looking forward to that. I don't know if you heard but the youngest of EXO sehun will be enlisting in the military on the 21st of December he's the last member to enlist he and Kai will return in 2025 Kai in February and sehun in September we can't wait until they comeback. P.S. I saw that you're going to react to EXO Christmas music soon can't wait Kings of Christmas the dominating the charts right now
So will they also record new songs without Kai and Sehun like they did with Obsession without DO and Xuimin???

Although I personally would send each group at the same time since its easier to wait for the artists for 18 months then a few years till they are back together as a whole. Especially if they are from companies which wont crumble without the money from a particular group since they have other groups.

The lightsticks are called Eribong and the version 2 and 3 can be connected to an app via bluetooth, that's why during concerts the stage techs can control the lights and notice how it changes colors depending on the mood of the song. Eribong is the first lightstick to ever have that tehnology. Exo concerts are always worth every penny, them singing live and hyping the crowd like it's a rave party. They hold the record for concert tickets getting sold at 0.2 seconds! Imagine being on that silver ocean of a crowd? You'll be in Kpop history if you made it, and secured a ticket even. EXO is not after fame and awards no more, their vocals and stage presence, each one of them are amazing. I used to listen to Kpop sparsely, but when I found out about EXO, it's like gravity sucking me into the Exoplanet. Stanning them is not for the weak. Not to mention, they are all really humble and modest. Their B-side 'Let Me In' just placed number 1 in Dazed charts, and now since it's Christmas season, their almost decade old song 'First Snow' is beating all new songs out there again, yearly every Christmas! Emperors of Kpop, Idols of idols.
Btw, typing this after attending Chanyeol's fanmeet hosted by Penshoppe (clothing brand that he endorses) here in the Philippines. We are all so hyped seeing him today, performing his songs, playing games with the fans, and just immersing with the Yeolmaes (his own fandom) 🍒 and Phixos (Philippine Exo-Ls). By the time you may read this, he might have flown back to S. Korea. The other night it was Suho who received 2 acting awards from the Asian Artists Awards (AAA) held at the Philippine Arena. I can only say so much about how proud I am to belong to the right fandom, and have my ears calibrated to the blessed talent and passion that EXO has. With our motto: We are one, saranghaja!!! (Let's love!!!) ❄️💞

About Xiumin's look: He does have an alternative costume for this section; something like a plaid-ish zip-up open to show a black shirt underneath. BUT a *lot* of EXO-Ls *really* love Xiumin in a beret, and I'm pretty sure he knows that, cause he wears a lot of them^.^ That's why fans cheered so loud when he first sang in Diamond, probably, because the screens showed him wearing the beret~
Also man was smart and went for something looser and not as heavy, unlike the poor saps wearing heavy thick coats for the club portion of the concert!~ [Xiumin is also famous for wearing a lot of sleeveless stuff; he'll have them take the sleeves off of undershirts, too, if he has to wear layers^.^]
Fingers crossed you guys will react to some EXO Christmas content or Christmas songs before the month is over. First snow has climbed up the charts again in spite of it being a 10 year old song because playing EXO Christmas songs every year around this time has become a tradition for many of us. Other EXO content can be reacted to any time of year but EXO Christmas stuff only fits best in December.

If you were amazed by the lightstick you should see their entrance in EXORDIUM concort in Seoul or Japan, they incorporated the lighstick in their super powers. It was the first time an artist used a bluetooth lightstick in a concert.

My husband once asked me how much id pay for exo tickets i said much more than id pay for you 😂 Suho attended AAA awards two days ago where he received acting awards… but he said he said he watched all 7 hours of performances and he was itching to perform himself. I always love watching power remix live because I always remember the clip where they were performing this elsewhere and near the end Chanyeol missed the raising platform and just decided to perform with the backup dancers, even did their choreo😂😂

This was the end of a long concert. You aught to see Drop That sung closer to the start of a section or at the awards (MAMA 2015) as then Chen is able to really hold that long note. It is amazing to see live.

EXO honestly is that group that has so much content but at the same time it’s never enough. I’ve been a fan for 11 years and STILL I have EXO content that I have yet to see that I stumble upon. It’s always a good time with EXO so it makes me happy.
Just yesterday I was lucky enough to go to Chanyeol’s fan meeting in my country and it was soooo so so good. He sang his songs live and it was even better than the MV versions. EXO and all its members have that energy and vibe that just makes you happy.
This definitely one of their most hyped sets! Also Run this and Drop that performed at award shows and festivals used to be my absolute favourite thing!

No disrespect to my recent groups but I really love how Exo concerts were, so magnificent, so good. Hope once all of them are done with military services, they do a big concert.
D.O. is (in his personal life) and was quite extroverted or outgoing earlier but there was some crazy fans incidents that gradually led to him being more reserved (I don't exactly remember maybe some other exols can tell.)

Sehun just went into the military last week, so they will be back at full strength in 21-22 months. Exo is due a massive international tour. I will literally do anything to be in the audience.
And there are SO MANY iconic live performance from Exo. I recommend the White Noise sequence from their Exodrium live performances (3rd tour).

I started in 2014 where I did an Exo concert marathon (youtube videos). Like literally ALL their concerts. They I moved on to their variety shows, reality shows, EXO Next Door (mini-drama) then random clips on youtube, funny videos, edits and absolutely everything. And that's when I knew, yep. I am absolutely in love with this group. My first Exo comeback as an EXO-L was Call Me Baby.

D.O. was bald here because of a part he played in Swing Kids where he was a North Korean soldier during the Korean war. He did enlist in the military a year after this tour, that's why he wasn't in Exo Planet #5
4:07 Your second guess was right. This was before they enlisted, D.O. had his head shaved to play a North Korean prisoner of war in his film Swing Kids. It’s an amazing film and I’d recommend you check it out in your free time even if not for the channel - he also learned tap dancing for the role.

As you saw, there were only 8 members of EXO at this concert. EXOPLANET #4 The ElyXiOn in Seoul was in 2017, so Lay was not able to participate in EXO activities at this point.

What do you mean "EVEN D.O. is enjoying it"? What makes you think D.O. doesn't enjoy performing or being on stage? He is a singer and performer for a living. He lives for the stage just as much as everyone else. Please stop diminishing him and make fun of his personality and how he looks and acts every time you see him. I know you think it's funny, but you've made your point, it's becoming annoying now that you have gotten to know him and EXO better. Imagine if someone said the same thing about you and made the same jokes about you every time they saw you. I'm sure you would find it annoying too.
Also, D.O.'s head is shaved because at this time he was starring in the international movie "Swing Kids" where he played a North Korean soldier who is a prisoner of war during the Korean War in the 1950s, so his haircut is part of the character he plays in the movie.
And, if you haven't already, you should check out a comeback stage for "Power" because even though their "Power" MV doesn't have any dancing, the song was part of their comeback promotions, so there is choreography that goes along with the song. And although you just watched their concert performance of "Power," the concert version is the remixed version, so the choreography is different then what you will see in their comeback stage. ("Drop That" is also a remixed version special for this concert tour, so the original song won't sound like this, either.)
"Power" was also used as one of the theme songs during the 2018 winter Olympics and EXO even performed it, along with their song "Growl," during the closing ceremony.
This was the last set of an almost 3 hour concert. So if you were impressed with EXO's stamina in this set, just imagine that during this concert they performed around 30 songs in total and each song and set had its own element of choreography, performance and epic stages. Plus, the ElyXiOn -- notice how EXO is always in the title of their concerts and the E X O are always capitalized -- was a world tour, so they performed this, or a similar set many times all over the world. So this wasn't an isolated event. :D This is just the standard when it comes to EXO concerts, and Kpop in general.
Kpop concerts are often broken up into sets, such as their Ballad set, their cute/fun set, sexy set, hype set, solo performance set, etc. and each set includes 4 or 5 songs. So the set you just watched is considered their hype set of songs during this concert. And in between sets they play short movies (VCRs) that feature the members as actors that tell a story. This allows them to take about a 5 minute break to change their outfits and to prepare for the next set of songs or the next performance, but other than that, it is pretty much nonstop for 3 hours straight.
However, although this was the last set of the concert, it wasn't their last performance. They have an epic encore stage after this one. They had to go backstage and change their clothes to get ready for their next performance.
so D.O. actually had to shave his head for his part in Swing Kids, the movie he did where he also learned to tap dance like a pro in like 4 months. lol yeah, so the EXO light sticks, and im sure this is true of most group light sticks, are bluetooth enabled. So when they are turned on and in the vacinity of the technical suite in the concert hall, they all link together. So their have been seas of silver, blue, red, green and i've seen multicolored fanlights, where they made a rainbow around the stadium during the song Heaven. So yeah, the light sticks are really very cool.
