I swear, I have gone to almost all 2nd, 3rd,and 4th gen Kpop artists concerts, BUT NOTHING BEATS EXO WITH REGARDS TO STAGE PRESENCE, CHARISMA, AND IMPECCABLE LIVE VOCALS. I always encourage people I know that regardless of their music genre preference, they should come to EXO concert even just once in thier lifetime.

Dears! As a mature "Auntie" I blushed profusely the first time I watched this set! The incredible detail to note is about Kai: he has stated that he doesn't stage his expressions, but react in the moment. Now THAT is charisma.
Fun fact: If you notice, during "White Noise" Suho, EXO's leader, was center stage. They focused on Suho because he used his superpower, which is the ability to control water, to make it rain on stage. Water plays an important role with EXO, and especially during this world tour, because they built a whole section of the stage that has a giant rain machine and a moat so they wanted to get a lot of use out of it. They might not have gotten wet during this performance, but they did get wet in several other stages during this concert/tour, especially Kai, Lay and Sehun -- the main dancers -- who had solo dances in the water, as well.
Water also plays an important role in everything EXO does because that is where Suho gets his strength from. So, right before it starts raining you see Suho raise his hand above his head, which is supposed to be him controlling the rain. Then a minute later, during the same song, when the rain turns off, you see the camera focus on Baekhyun and he raises his hand in the air and the lights turn off and a spotlight shines on him. Baekhyun has the power to control light, so he is the one to control the lights.
And during "Thunder" the first person they focus on is Chen because he has the power of thunder, so he is the one to control the thunder during that song, and where there is thunder that means there is lightning as well. At one point during "Thunder" you also see Chen spin around with his hands out to his sides and then there is a large streak of lightning behind him and a big thunderclap sound, which is supposed to be him summoning the lightning and thunder. Therefore, Chen has the power of thunder and lighting and because of that he also can control electricity.
Kai's shirt isn't ripped, it's designed like that. It has cutouts that were specifically designed to show parts off his arms and torso. Plus, as a dancer Kai's clothing is designed to allow him to be able to move and flex and bend without being restrictive.
EXO's "Playboy" was one of numerous songs that was written and co-composed by Jonghyun, SHINee's main vocalist. If you know Jonghyun's R&B style and sound you will probably be able to hear him in this song. This is such a Jonghyun song. If you ever want to hear what the song originally sounded like, you should look up Jonghyun singing it, th-cam.com/video/GBe6kCMBQeU/w-d-xo.html. Jonghyun's version of "Playboy" has even more of that smooth R&B style and sound. Jonghyun is considered one of the absolute best singers in all of Kpop who was actually a vocal coach and mentor to several of the EXO members when they were trainees. He was really a master when it came to creating music and he was one of the very first Idols to be known for his songwriting and composing skills.
As you can see, everything EXO does has something to do with their origin story and their powers. You will see in future performances other examples of the members using their powers as well. For example, when there is fire elements you will see them focus on Chanyeol because he controls fire and when they sing about snow or winter you will see Xiumin because he controls snow/ice/frost, when Sehun dances there are often things that show him creating a windstorm or controlling the wind, etc. Everything EXO does has something to do with their storyline including their live performances and even some of their choreography.
You will see Lay and Kai, and usually also Sehun, dancing together in most of the dance break sections of EXO's concerts because they are the main dancers of their respective sub-units and they were meant to mirror each other in their roles in their groups. As you can see, Lay is known for being just as sexy, if not more so, than Kai when it comes to his dancing and onstage personality. If you think Kai is too much to handle, Lay may send you into cardiac arrest if you watch some of his live solo performances. LOL Kai has a more subtle, innocent sexuality, where Lay knows exactly what he is doing and he intentionally turns the sex appeal up to 1,000 with a smirk on his face. (I mean the boy has a song called "Lay you down.")
What you just witnessed was the sexy set of EXO's concert. As you may know, SM concerts are usually broken up into sets and each set has a theme, such as their acoustic set, cute set, hype set, ballad set, etc. and in between sets they have solo and sub-unit performances and VCR videos that set up the next set of songs and allow the other members a chance to change their clothes and prepare for the next set. Kpop concerts last 3 to 4 hours long and they usually perform about 30 songs in total. And all of EXO's stages are just as epic and unique as this. No two concerts are ever the same. Every time they perform a song, they change things up, so it's never boring and the fans never get tired of watching them perform no matter how many times we may have heard a song or seen EXO perform. That's why Kpop concerts are unlike any other concert you have ever seen. The attention to detail and the elaborate stages is what makes it special.

I was not into kpop until I came across Exo's Monster Dance Practice video.. I liked the song but what got my attention was Kai.. His smirk and charisma got to me and I started to watch Exo videos just to see him and with each video I've watched, I fell in love with all of the members and their discography.. My bias wrecker in Exo constantly changes though, every member gets their fair share 😂

EXO got to have high scores in all aspects of being a great Kpop boygroup. Vocals, visuals, stage presence, dance, attitude, fan service, and work ethic. They are not perfect but the group stays relevant for a long time because of the members' relationship and chemistry with each other.
It's normal to have a bias wrecker like for example my bias is kai and my bias wrecker is Chen. It's just so hard because in every live performances they shine individually That's why it's so hard to have just only one bias when it comes to exo because they are just so good
Lay is like careless beauty..careless sexy. He doesn't interact with the camera much or expressions but all the music and waterlike flow in his body with that straight face appeals much more to me somehow
I am new exol. In whole kpop i never found antone so versatile in concepts and live performances. And i came to know that now their concepts are done by others. Like the blind dance, water thing, even whole setups on stage like a bar setup and whatnot. They are Elite💯🙌

In metric system: Chanyeol is 1,87; Sehun is 1,84; Kai is 1,82; Lay is 1,78; Baekhyun , Chen and Suho are 1,73 ( with tiny milimeters of difference) and Xiumin and D.O are 1,72. They are all tall is just that Rap line is much taller.
Chanyeol is the tallest idol in SM entertainment at the moment. The duo TVXQ! used to be the tallest but Chanyeol grow a bit more over the time he was on the military.

Lay, Kai, Sehun and Xiumin are embodiment of sexiness and body rolls whereas although Chen's dancing skill aren't praised much but his hip thrust are so powerful, Baekhyun has a really nice body flow while D.O. really gives his best and Chanyeol tries his best even though its hard with his tall body but usually just tries to keep things kids friendly. For your question, yes Lay is really hard and aggressive when it comes to choreographies.

Alot of groups that came after them, the dancers in the groups mostly like 2 dancers currently in K-pop: 1. Kai and/or 2. Taemin from Shinee (2nd Gen). Both groups just also happen to be from SM.

So in terms of dancing. Kai, Lay and Sehun make up the dance line. With Xiumin and Baekhyun nipping at their heels. D.O., Chen, and Suho are all solid, good dancers. Chanyeol is admittedly, the weakest dancer, he is very much aware of it, and has worked at it so hard. If you watch the Cream Soda performances and their Obsession performances, you can see he has improved, significantly. Especially in Cream Soda. He ate that choreo. Body rolls are NOT his strong suit though, that is for sure, for sure. He's such a lovable, lanky, happy virus!
Listen Idk what Chanyeol was up to in the military but he may have been taking private dance classes with Kasper or something because he has improved soooooo much. He's gotten ahold of moving his body with the rhythm now and I am so unbelievable proud of him. I gush every time I see him dancing now 😂
It will forever hurt my feelings that I missed EXO in Texas. I hadn’t yet become a fan when they were here. I doubt they’ll have another US tour especially the way they’re being neglected by SM! But I’m willing to spend any amount of money if they do come back!

Yes, Kai and Lay are charisma central. I find Lay to be on the overtly sexier side and Kai on the more sensually sexy side, but both are sexy. Interestingly, both are a little dipsy and very sweet when off stage.
When it comes to ships, you can find all of them connected with all of them somewhere, but there are popular ones. They are very close friends, so there is enough footage to show any partnership.
My favorite is D.O and the more I see things about him the more I like him, not only his voice but his personality and how beautiful he is without trying...

My bias is Suho and bias wrecker is chen but I feel ya with the kai one. Kai is just in another category. The idol of idols.
As for the guides just have in mind that some are biased and stick with the "image" they created since the beggining. If you truly want to get to know them I would recommend watching their reality shows.
I have literally watched this performance everyday for the past 5-6 years. I love EXO and have been a fan of them since debut, but I swear Kai makes me mad. He makes me feel like a dirty old woman (I'm 53) whenever I watch him!

Back when EXO had EXOrdium concert in our country, I was in the standing area. I can't remember that artificial love was that sexy. When I looked at my fancams it was Chanyeol in front of me😂. I love him for it though. He's so precious. Honestly his body roll improved a LOT.
If you haven’t already seen their live version (concert in Japan) where they do Mama, Monster and Wolf…its a must! BTW…you can have D.O or Kai or Chen or Sehun (even though i love them all)..but Baekhyun is MINE! (Well and millions of others)❤
