Personally I find nothing wrong with the plastic drive shafts. I've broken so many steel shafts in my other vehicles I can't even count. But the original plastic drive shafts in my Rival are still almost perfect with just a little bit of slop where the pins go trough the joint part thingie. So, supririsingly, I have to say that the plastic ones seems vastly superior:D
I'm curious because I can't find any follow up videos, so how did it handle afterwards and did it change any of the momentum pattern while jumping and gear wise did it have any effect on the launch and ability to transition out of turns, I also noticed you have an aftermarket suspension setup what are you using and is it higher or lower than stock?
I got this car work stand from bitgo hobbies it’s an ernst ultimate hobby stand BH65664 this thing is awesome will hold 1/8 truggy to crawlers and everything in between
Not sure if you noticed this. When installing the cvd’s and run the motor on the stand the rear suspension appears to bounce up and down. Assuming this is due to the slightly shorter length of the cvd? Wonder if I need to get shorter suspension so it sits higher. When flat surface appears to be ok.
Man ive been itching to buy a SC chassis and driveshaft for the MT. I thought itd be better handling and put more pwr down. I got a different pwr system in that Helion Avenge 10MT, same rig. Make a vid! Lol
Is this truck any good at racing or is it only good for bashing? I am very tempted to get this and start racing (don't have budget for anything more expensive).
This truck is for bashing i don’t think it would be great for track racing . If you are racing against traxxas slashes it will be competitive but not against more purpose built race trucks like the tekno losi etc
I love this truck I really used it a lot last summer and really put it though it’s paces lots a of big crashes at high speeds and only had the shock pop off the top mount just added a washer and it was all fixed . It is a great price I would recommend!
I am using the team associated factory team shocks for pro4 25846 rear shock set 25845 front shock set They have been awesome no leaks and it has been used a lot
They aren’t the best driveshafts, I installed on the rear and first run at the track, landed alittle off and it bent the crap out of the driveshaft. Looks awesome though lol. I have rpm arms so I guess the shaft took the brunt of the force.

Just followed this on my new, and broken first trip out...lol MT10, perfect guide... thank you 🙂

I would think it’s because of the out of balance tires not the cvds
have you noticed any binding of the steel cvds? I just put some on my relatively new sc10 and the back ones seem to bind slightly
I put a 1/8 scale truck body and some truck tires on the SC. Makes a great handling vehicle.

@@metalrc thanks 👍
What your opinion on this truck? Planning to get one, wanted to know how it is, what are weak points of it?

Been very disappointed with the front A-Arms on this truck. They must be made of glass. Just ordered some RPM arms
I haven’t had any issues until today I broke a front arm but it was very cold outside and I slammed into a big ice ball at full speed !
@Metal RC I just watched the video.
I just purchased a Pro4 SC10. What shocks are you using?
I am using the team associated factory team shocks for pro4
25846 rear shock set
25845 front shock set

Great video 👍🏾
My local track rents these. They get pretty beat and they have never had to replace the plastic shafts. Go figure
👍👍
Realy good Video - and cool Car.
Weird that my v1 already has steel and this doesn't.
what tires are you running?
Proline trenchers
