This is what I imagine primordial hyperspace sounded like when universes spontaneously started existing. Primal intensity that words actually can’t describe but I did my best.
As someone who spent 5 months to be able to play this half-decently on guitar, the fact all 5 of these guys can STILL play this song in perfect sync seems downright inhuman
I've seen them live three times and it's hard to explain how body-crushingly powerful they are. Like a 20-ton concrete slab being slowly lowered onto your ribcage with strobe lights flashing into your skull. This video almost does the experience justice.
I’ve been a fan since ‘99. I couldn’t be happier or prouder of these guys. They (and Devin Townsend) have made the last 25 years a real listening joy. Glad they’re still slappin’ bitches on a nightly basis.
This is the song that single handedly made me rethink my entire guitar picking technique when obzen released my junior year of high-school. I hadn't played in years and just started playing again and holy crap, it is still the endurance workout I remember it being. Lol
I saw these guys in a basement in Sweden, circa 1996. It was pretty cool. Jens wasn't with them. They did a an hour and a half of their songs and answered questions from the audience. We were like 45 nerdy dudes. At some point the entire band left Mårten by himself and went for a piss, he was obviously uncomfortable being alone on stage and they knew it. Hilarious! They played a lot of stuff from None and Destroy, Erase, Improve. And they did requests! Was a good night.
I’m glad metal has Meshugga Cattle Decapitation, and cannibal corpse I’m not the biggest fan of Meshugga but, their live abilities and quality breed a culture of bands that want to continue that same trend. Pretty sure the band is wearing in-ear monitors with a metronome counting in the song. Notice the singer tapping his mic a few beats before the rest of the band comes in.
This band would be unbeatable and super badass more than they are if they only had a good singer front man or at least one you can understand a single word
You can indeed hear more than one word from Jens, such as "BLEEEEDDD" Besides, his vocals are very distorted so it would make sense that not every word is heard Also, the lyrics of a song need not be clearly sung, I like to think of the vocalist like an instrument that adds to the song
