That cable you threw in the back belongs to the infinity amp, the radio kit normally comes with a harness for the remote, constant, and ignition wire, you use the antenna for a ground since the antenna is a power antenna, it also comes with a cable for the hookup for the infinity amp/ sound system, it has 4 RCAs to hook up to the front and rear channels the sub channel I believe runs off the rear as well going to the amp

@@DarkRoast it may have been prepped for it, I have a 2003 Montero Limited, with the infinity 6 speaker + 8 inch subwoofer premium sound system, I had to change the head unit and put in a pioneer avh3500nex, I actually hate it, I want to put a double din navigation unit in it, the sub was already blown to shreds, so I ran 12 jbl shallow sub with box and jbl 600 watt amp, I want to replace the speakers with jbl stadiums and a jbl 1000.4 amp(400X4), but like I said I need to know if I can put a double din in it
@@johnryan118 Ah okay okay. Yeah if your center dash is the same as mine then you should be able to fit a double din. Besides double dins are the way to go lol did you ever get your speakers replaced and the other amp installed?
Honestly I think this is the biggest size you can go for the Montero. It’s a 6.2” (diagonally) size screen and it’s dimensions are 15 x 12 x 10 inches. I think if you install a bigger head unit then you’ll have to make a custom dash kit.

I had some extra wires from my amp and sub kit from my old truck. Used the extra wire to extend the negative wire. Just make sure the gauge of the wire your extending it with matches the gauge of the negative wire
