Thank you, Dad!! I had no idea that my Keurig didn't even have the water filter attachment. I have the older version of the classic Keurig that was given to me by my mom when I moved out. I always use my Brita water filter for my Keurig or my husband uses water bottles when he's lazy and doesn't want to refill the pitcher. Just recently, I guess he's been using tap water in the Keurig and has had complaints. I thought it was time to change the filter in our Keurig but lo and behold, there wasn't one!! It all makes sense now and I will be buying this asap. I have the filter cartridges, just not the assembly piece.

After I figured out what that clear tube was for, thanks to Dad (Kuerig forgot to mention it in their pamphlet) I determined that I had to orient the filter holder a certain way (90 degrees) for it to snap into place on the black post. Otherwise, you just frustrate yourself. Now that I know...
I just tried the new pods from San Francisco Bay Coffee. It's so good. Very strong. I've opened them and used them in my barista for lattes. Really good. Ever review it I'll check it out.

They always say " wow talk about a black beautiful color coffee! " Bold and delicious. Price has went up, but a wonderful gift. Getting boxes for Christmas to give away,

Hello Dad, i have keurig 2.0..i didnt know it required a charcoal filter 🤦🏽♀️. Been using the machine with tap water without a filter and there is a slight film in the coffee. I cleaned the maker and ran white vinegar to clean. Use of filter will stop the film?
Hello! no you don't need to use a filter, the filter only really helps with if your water taste or smells like chlorine, I use tap water and mine works fine, the only time I recommend bottled water is if your water is really hard it can clogg up a Keurig heating element if you don't keep up on the Descaling, Thanks for Watching!!!

HA! The most important part for me to see and you failed to show it...haha, I wonder why? Could it be because you too have the SAME issue I find I am having with this pos coffee maker? Yes, the "newer" clear cartridge for me, is almost impossible to open up so that I CAN change the filter....yeah right, squeeze in the two sides and lift lol lol....No way...it doesn't BARELY squeeze , therefore it doesn't open easily AT ALL.....I HATE this coffee maker ONLY because of this FLAW. I have to constantly ASK my husband to open the dam thing for me cause no matter what I do, and I am not a weakling, I cannot open the stupid thing.

No, only if your water smell or taste bad like a lot of chorine in it. this will help with that.
