I've been looking at these lately, I didn't really care for the old bubbly 2000s Beetles looks, but I knew they were pretty good cars, one of my friends had one for years. But something about the styling of this new 2013+ one really attracts me. I hear that VW TDIs usually get better mileage than their EPA estimates, normally well into the 40s

I like my '68 autostick, but I was curious about these new bugs.. The gas is horrible on these, the price is way too high, and the engine isn't in the back. I don't need any fancy speakers, or lousy navigation, that's what phones are for. I need economy, and simplicity.
heavier than a Golf? my `70 superBeetle without the new bumpy nose was much lighter, had the fine double-U joint rear suspension, torsion bar front.... and outran all the sportscars that tried to cut corners to keep up and nearly fell off the mountain cliff....my first car
👍🏽🥰I want the 2015 Beetle TDI with the 6-speed manual,.. I h8 automatic’s, they alway’s go-out between 120k & 140k😔 If I buy a car with a diesel engine, I expect a stick-shift, and the 6-speed is good enough. Wish mine could have side-pipes & #Bank’s power-pack👍🏽😈
This car is an abomination. It's an emasculated golf.Torsion beam suspension in a car at that price class? Compared to the golf it has less interior room, worse fuel economy,heavier,smaller payload,narrower tires, all seasons instead of performance all season tires.The real beetle was genius:inexpensive,air cooled rear mounted boxer engine, rear drive,lightweight powertrain.
If you want a car like everyone else, take the Golf. But the Beetle has an incomparable look. People who like her look don't care about the other details. The Beetle is incomparably more charming than the Golf
My 2013 VW Beetle TDI has been a remarkably reliable car. The Fender sound system is terrific. I couldn’t be happier with this car. My 8th convertible over the years.

Why would such a small car require a rear view camera, or park assist?
I prefer my manual beetle. But the newer ones are nice.

And they phased out the VW Beetle-2019 was the final year
24 MPG in the city is not good for a diesel car. I'd expect at least 48 MPG for a 2000cc car or 55 MPG for a 1600cc.

I want a simplified lighter version of this bug w/o so much electronic crap, a diesel version for $20,000 is the most I'd willingly pay.
just buy a skoda bhud,it has the same engine and eccentrics but costs less and doesnt look so ba.d
The bubble is gone, now it's starting to look like every other car out there.
