    Awesome video sir! It's a great insight into the jade industry. I was shocked at the end of the video by the jade boulders, and especially the price of them. I would love to go to Myanmar some day to go rough shopping, but for now I will stick with Tucson which is just a short distance away (comparatively). Keep the videos coming!

    I have a pretty ring with different colours of Jade: or that is what I was told it was! I'm thinking perhaps the colours other than green may have been chemically altered? How many different colours do you think there are? Thank for showing this, it's hard to comprehend the amount of money people will pay.

    The most expensive Natural Colored Stone if you could ever find of any size would be Silicon Carbide (SiC). Not to be confused with silicone. 😄 That would be the polymer used for Breast enlargements. And the reason I put emphasis on Natural is because with present technology nearly any stone's color can be Changed or Altered. Either by radiation or Heat or both. Believe me I Wholesaled gem stones as one of many things to study biological sciences. Later Partly formally & mostly Self education I chose to become fish Pathologist. I can still buy Jade of highest grade from China already cut (Cab - Cut). Jade is rarely if ever faceted. Please know that I'm not calling you a liar. But rather presenting a fact. I'm sure happy to not keep Valuable Stones aroaround.Too many thieves around, even in those days I hated the thought of using Martial arts or firearms to defend myself or the darned stone that really belonged to a company or another person. Not many people want to steal my simple diagnostic instruments and the lab Space can be rented. So they can worry about expensive microscopes, incubators, growing media, etc. And I don't keep antibiotics and other substances at home!!!!! As for truly expensive stones, I'd consider Sapphires, Rubies, Emeralds as the most beautiful and Valuable if they are not man made or enhanced by irritation and heat.I must say that THE MOST BEAUTIFUL EMERALDS ARE made by the Chatum Company! !Best regardsExcuse the any mistakes. It is now 9:36a.m.. I still can't Sleep from my Unbearable Painfrom Lyme disease!!! I got that because searching for more and more secret spots to fish for Salmon and Steelhead. Or trying to calling "Monster" bull Elk (kind of dear that can be as big as a horse!!). I don't Call them by any electronic device. Just with a piece of Latex in my mouth. For many takes a long time to learn.A Mexican friend of mine who was really smart couldn't do it even after 6 years. After that I didn't do any archery hunting with him. I noticed one you fine viewers mentioned a name of something natural that allegedly relieves Pain. Please tell me more about it I read that growing is legal! Thank you

    i would love it if you could a little bit expound the meaning of everything that you are saying.. you keep on saying understand the inside or translucency or transparency, what do you mean? it would help if you take one of them and explain how deep or what grade or to what extent would the light piece through those greens to determine its value.. also i would love to see if you could explain how other jade form into different colors.. im a newbie, i love looking at all those jade im this video but i found this not so informative..

    • @lincolnthinking
      @lincolnthinking 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      what you are asking why it is called a buyer beware to gamble on the interior content ... forces of nature, temperature and concentration of various chemicals at the spots of formation during the creation of the jade determine internal crystalline deposits in richness of chemical composition, color, transparency, fractures, etc. that go into the determination of quality ~ even experts are known to have spent $US millions on a jadeite rock and be unable to recover the purchase value ...

    With the greatest due respect Jade is hardly considered an expensive Stone. Rhodolite Garnet in Sizes like 20 Carats or more in (IF-FL) grade is more Valuable than a big Chunk of Rough Jade of any color. Now I must say that some eccentric Collector may pay any price just to have ☺ By the way the aforementioned Rhodolite Garnet would have to be perfectly cut and I don't mean Cab - Cut, but rather faceted! ! & IF - FL means internally and externally Flawless with perfect Violet Color not red like some other types of Garnet. You see after a Certain size Precious or Semiprecious stones are no longer sold by Carat weight! ! But rather by rarity! ! Just like Gold (Au) Nuggets a good friend of my while going to College dove into the bottom of a Creek on his Claim and found a Palm Size Gold Nugget. This was during a time that gold was not worth even 1/4 per ounce as it is now or a year ago! But still he fetched. $100000.00 USD for it by selling it to a museum! ! Later he was told , by the owner of a gold assay company, that he was Cheated!!

      never forget that a choice and a buying price are also dependent on personal preference, which includes cultural bias ~

  • @McRonnieB

    Video quite nice but may I advise to take a English course? wow that accent really rubbish tbh.

    • @20vtmk1
      @20vtmk1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love listening to him talk and think his accent is great! Maybe you should take a neuroscience course because then you would understand that you can't speak a language learned after the age of 7 without having an accent due to changes in the brain.

    • @McRonnieB
      @McRonnieB 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You studied for a PHD most likely however I learned English from watching cartoons. Arn learned writing and speaking English from the age of 12 at school.
      and believe me I speak fluently English with no accent related to my native language. anything else miss?

    • @20vtmk1
      @20vtmk1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@McRonnieB The thing is that the age related changes to the brain actually make it difficult or impossible to recognize the ways in which our speech fails to produce the sounds made by a native speaker--hence, after the critical period of development, there will always be at least a mild accent. The severity of the accent depends on how many phonemes (basic units of speech sound) are shared between your first and second language. While I'm sure it's possible that your accent is minimal, it's very unlikely that your speech doesn't contain some telltale markers that reveal English as a language learned after age 7.

    • @20vtmk1
      @20vtmk1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@McRonnieB Also, that's really cool that you learned by watching cartoons. My friend learned the same way. Did you watch with English audio and subtitles in your native language?

      You clearly don't understand what is going on there, everybody on that video owns a gun, including the one filming it , A person trying to steal anything wouldn't go away or get arrested and thrown to jail. He would have his head blown off no questions asked , This is Myanmar Dadrules , they don't need security , they make their own . I am not joking , if you even try to steal something you will end up at the ER at best . Don't underestimate Asia , especially that part of Asia . This market is half run by the mafia , they don't need the police .

    I understand some of the prices for some pieces are valid, but it looks like to me that some of the "reserve" prices are a bit high and either the stones went unsold or the reserve price was just the starting point before going down in price. The 6 million usd stone with cracks was not particularly translucent to be 6 million plus it had cracks. I'd like to know what the final sale price of that was.

Some walk the coast for it and others dive for it, just like Abalone you can come across nice jade stones right in front of you! I met a gentleman who searches for and finishes it to sell, he keeps it to himself pretty much, and makes a lot of money from it!

    All that money for a piece of mineral/rock... I know it's a rare piece of mineral/rock, but it's still a piece of mineral/rock... The only value is in what people have made it to be... If it didn't have a legend/belief attached to the type of stone/mineral it is. The value of it would be less... You pay for the belief of the type of stone/mineral it is... Man has made it worth what it is worth mainly because someone wanted it bad enough to pay a big price for it... I could sell a piece of paper for a lot of money if I could make just a few people believe the piece of paper was worth the value I put on it. Then the price goes up higher if I can get two or more people wanting that same piece of paper... It all come down to man's greed!!!

      Kinda like the MSRP an American sees on new car windows BEFORE he/she drives one off the lot.

      yes, in legend and belief, once upon a time nephrite jade was strictly limited to possession and use only by the ruling class in China, thus jades (now nephrite Old jade and jadeite New jade) has cultural and heritage values for anyone of any economic stature who wants a jade object just for feel good purposes ~
