Those expressions are useful for someone who plans to move to the US. If I use them with my international friends and coworkers , I'm sure most of them wouldn't understand (they are non native speakers with a medium to proficient level). As a "student" I just want to learn them in order to understand native speakers. Therefore, I find this video interesting.

I am working with natives remotely. What I have learnt so far is that they prefer plain English so I don’t have to use a lot of fancy business english structures I learnt. And I caught up very Quick similar phrases during small talks.
Interesting video, thanks for teaching us those phrases. It's helpful when we are going to make a formal or informal conversation with another persons.
Hello Miss Kayla, I am learning English as my second language, I speak Spanish, I have been studying daily for 8 months. with methods, like your video and other youtubers, I subscribed to your channel, because I loved this video in particular...after eight months studying English; I can say that I understand TH-cam videos quite well, I took a test of my level...and I came out with a medium-low level....as far as pronunciation and speaking it in general costs me a bit...the ideas are there ..but I can't be fluent in the English language ...any tips or feedback that you can give me would be very helpful to me ...att..Juan Carlos..
Its always good to use perfect English. If you are natural its not difficult at all. With some exceptions like a noisy bar. 'Can i do the steak'?!? I would think you want to learn how to cook the steak. Can i order the steak or even could i eat the steak.
In the UK and possibly some other English-speaking countries, NOBODY would say "Can I do the steak?" That's because you're not doing the steak (the chef is), you're having it. These phrases are fine if you're going to live or travel exclusively in the US, but if you want to use English globally, stick to the "perfect" English, as everyone will understand it.
@@kybir4777 Some people in the UK have started saying "Can I get...", which is infuriating others, who argue that the server is getting the thing, not you. The hard-core purists insist on "May I have..." as the most polite way of asking, but that's taking it a bit far. I think "Can I have..." is the best option, as it makes sense wherever you go and it's polite.

I have learned English for so long but I can speak a little English. So How should I learn English in order to be able to speak English fluently? And if I learn English conversation phrases by heart, it is good or not? Can you give us a piece of advice on how to learn English?
Talk out loud to yourself , watch an English movie and repeat the words. Sing along in English. Watching children's shows is helpful too. They are slower paced.
I wonder if I'm in a shop and I use those phrases like "can I do the..." you showed us, then I would be like a rude person because I'm not polite enough there but I'm supposed to be like that? Or I can be polite even though I use these type of phrases?
Just add “please” to the end. Even though “may I please have the steak” sounds completely natural in my opinion and that’s how I usually order food lol - but “can I do the steak, please” also sounds very natural while also remaining polite.
I agree with the comments below, you can always just add a please or thank you when asking for something to soften your speech and make it more polite!
