Trust me, people, i worked in a guitar store that sold the THR models(5 and 10 watts) the amp has a plugin for minijack, can be used with a bass guitar(not joking) and the effects are great, the amp is loud for the 10 watts it has, i`m gonna get the amp after i get the Bugera 333XL Infinium, i need a practice amp, and a gig amp, THR isn`t nonsense, it`s a great thing for 500$, awesome amp!
Actually Satchel stated he plugs into whatever the venue supplies, so he's a backline hound. Knowing Satchel I don't know if he was serious or not though. He stated he used dimed Marshall DSLs for the 1st album.
I find a lot of guitarist lie about the gear they use anyway and some just stick there name on it for cash. I use the 5150 50 watt and love the amp some other say it's not so good but I use it with different cabs and speakers the sound blows my mind.
I saw them at the House Of Blues in Vegas last year and he was plaing through the 5150 100 watts, could have been the house amp. Then I saw him on Rig Rundown - Steel Panther's Satchel you tube video and @4:50 Satchel say's he plays any amp thats at the gig then he says just kidding,I use the 5150.I remember cause the face he makes when he say's 5150 is the same one I make when I talk about my 5150 50 watt.
lolz, you gotta try an amp in the situation it will be used for, a video really cant convey the sound. also any tube amp with a good speaker is good and put some effects and bang you have the best tone.
dont get me wrong these sound nice but n everyone of the steel panter demos on these amps arent guitar /cord/ amp....they have a laptop hidden ir out of shot .Which u can see cable runnin to floor in this video. If u buy and plug straight to amp it sounds ok but if plug into a laptop the tone shaping is unbelievable.
Blake Woods Ofc, noone is denying that. Still, Satchel, or Russ Parrish rather, wouldn't endorse this product if he didn't enjoy or believe in it for real. The majority of guitarists, be it professional or amateur, are amazed at this amp, and it's for many reasons. Not only is it cheap and quite convenient to handle due its size, but its tone is otherworldly for being a practice amp. Again, noone says this is better than an actual tube amp, but for home use, this is little thing is godsend (and Yamaha are giving Roland and Orange a run for their money). Heck, Russ Parrish is a guitar teacher in private when he isn't walking around as this Satchel character, so you can bet he endorses this amp to his students for home use.
