I totally agree, 86 is absolutely golden. It's a show that doesn't lack anything or leaves anything out, and the fact that they play on small details like eyes twitching, facial expressions, voices, etc... that was just like watching acting. I like it subjectively, but I think objectively it has to be rated just about the same due to how great it is. Love it.

@@Mrlonely345 86, I may not give a good synopsis but it’s a dystopian world where those without blue hair are sent to battle and die while all the blue hairs stay safe inside the city. The female you see is as they call handler one. She the one who commands them from inside the city. The other people are the soilder who operate machines to fight the legion, the things that are constantly trying to overtake the city. While they have talked a lot and got close, they never saw each others faces which is why she’s crying and they were holding their smiles in.
That smile... so genuine. Embrace my heart with pure joy !!!
I don't think that an animated character's smile be genuine. some characters have expressions on amother level but genuine? For that, the feeling has to be real.

yeah because from eps 1 until end they aren't meet each other then they finally meet in last episode. the studio make this perfect ending with all thos scene, music, dialog. no wonder why 86 pt.2 is in top anime on MAL

God 86 knew how to get you emotionally drawn in, one of few anime that made me cry tears of joy and sadness. Honestly one of my top 10 animes ever!

This was the happiest moment for all 86 fans who long waited to see this moment. Even in the last episode I thought she won't meet mc face to face and I probably had to wait for another season but it happened atlast.
I was still upset at the episode before when they were *THIS CLOSE* and they didn't. Then, we get the whole episode leading up to it AND THEO'S PICTURE (look, the studio knew what they were doing with that; jerks, I love them) and I almost thought we were going to have to wait another season too. They absolutely nailed it.

@@spartnmarcen5110bro there’s so many little details in this show and there’s a mountain of them in the last 2 minutes of the last episode. as lena makes her way towards shin, we get a half second scene from the previous episode. from fidos pov, we can see lena walking right to left upside down. the right to left motif is used throughout the show and in japanese literature, right to left is a sign of progression and moving forwards. this is made possible because fido was upside down in the previous episode. as fido sees shin and lenas meeting, a part under his lens glints representing the tears/emotions of the audience because at that point, we are all fido. as the rest of the squad struggles to keep their composure, theo stands out from the rest remaining poised and respectful, a complete 180 from part 1 where he was lena's biggest critic. the reunion also a callback to episode 11 where everyone of them left notes on the 6th handler poster. the railway that seemingly went on never ending throughout the seasons is symbolic of lena trying to catch up with shin and the others. as the rails finally reach the end, theyre all reunited at long last. in the ending card, you can see kurena has her foot between shin and lena because shes in denial of their connection d. the song playing while they meet is called LiLaS, an acronym for "Lena is Looking at Shin". the song is not about the first time they meet but the first time they set eyes on each other. when you combine and mix their eye colours, you get the colour of the LILAC. also the song lyrics are very well timed with the sequence "Right now meeting under the sky", "You were smiling", "My heart started crying out" "My eyelids started overflowing". the lyrics are literally telling the story of what is happening as they meet. and finally their hands come together forming the number 86. as a first time leading director, Toshimasha lisha did an incredible job directing this. man i really hope this gets a second season.

When shin was in his mecha and she was standing in front of it but she couldn't see him, i really felt ache in my heart i thought they'll leave it at that, but when i saw this scene i was full of joy and happiness. I felt very very relieved that they finally met each other and now she'll be in charge of them like old times i want se of this, i want to see work together and maybe a little romance so shin can get a reason to keep living.

86 was just a spectacular show. It had amazing character development, good action, solid emotional aspects, used controversial concepts in a unique way etc. The show was just downright well done. Top tier for sure.
Out of all the anime I’ve watched over the years I can easily say 86 is in my top 5. Show was amazing and unique. Wasn’t your run of the mill show, had LOTS of downpoints and plenty of tragic events in the anime which really set it in its own category. There were a few happy comedic relief moments in the show to not make it so depressing and the story in itself is one that’s hard to beat. I hope it gets a season 3 because this anime deserves one hands down
