Elephants, dolphins, chimpanzees, killer whales are all animals that are exceptionally interesting and intelligent creatures. They can all verbally communicate, but we don’t understand them well enough to learn their languages. If we put more research into learning these animal languages then it would open doors of communication that would be earth shattering in the world of science. Can you imagine a dolphin telling you that it is feeling sick? How about an elephant that could give you directions to a watering hole 900 miles away? It’s true that elephants never forget and have shown to remember people and relationships that are 25 years old just like it happened yesterday.

Why would you think that? Nature is cruel. Natural selection is cruel. However, it's also what makes organisms evolve. It's what made the elephants as well as humans. What separates higher forms of intelligence is empathy. Humans have it. Whales have it. The great apes have it. Elephants have it. It's that empathy pushing humans to save elephants from the cruel forces of nature ... survival of the fittest. The idiots who poach are pushed by their most basic animal instinct ... to survive and thrive. That basic instinct always affects the ecosystem. Natural extinction is part of the universe. The reason humans should save the elephants is for our survival as well. To much change in our ecosystem could very well put our existence in doubt as well.
If anyone's interested, check out the HERD channel. It's an elephant orphanage/sanctuary in South Africa. Their videos are longer and explain a lot about behavior, sounds, relationships, etc. It's an extraordinary place and they save ellies with zero sanctimony. :-)
Interesting fact. Apparently African and Asian Elephants have slightly different communication methods. Housing the 2 together is not recommended! Apparently it's been found that Asian Elephant calfs are vulnerable to African Elephant germs/parisites that can kill them!
one day we will realize just how much of a pest we as humans are.....to even think of harming such a gentle animal is unconscionable. We need to realize we are only dominate because we, unfortunately have learned to kill....Sad really.
Frosty, I feel your Heart - & I'm with you. This work is at least being done via observation. Just watched a vid where the scientists were so cruel & callous - albeit unknowingly. They chose to broadcast the elephant danger call, then watch them quickly leave their watering hole. Not enough to just send it through the air, they also buried something able to send the lower-frequency sounds through the ground - but with the same results - chasing them away from their watering hole in caution or fear. Strange, that they didn't consider using another sound - perhaps one that announced a new food source or something pleasant. All of this done with such blind arrogance, never even considering informing the elephants in any way. All such science teams would do well to hire an Animal Communicator as one of their staff. These are amazingly intelligent creatures who deserve our respect. ~♥~
Yes, we're the only animals that have learned to kill.......does that make any sense.....no, it does not! Go to school, get off the internet, you've wasted your entire life thus far!
Good for you, Frosty. Hating ourselves won't bear the fruit we desire. It's partially because we've been programmed to be so down on ourselves that we do these things. Better to celebrate the many that are waking up, to share their work as fine examples. One day we'll realize that it's consciousness that creates everything, all dimensions. We'll then realize how diving down into negativity just feeds & grows that negativity, holding us back. Nothing is what we take it to be, & finding that Love that is Source in Heart is the awakening. All of life is conscious, even a stone - just in a different frequency, at a different speed, so most don't perceive their consciousness. For instance, all trees are joined via their interlacing root systems & they're conscious & aware, as are all 2-leggeds & 4-leggeds, the finned & the scaled creatures, as well. What a joy & delight we have yet to discover, just waiting for us to rise up in consciousness, in frequency, ourselves. Love is the way. ~♥~

Warching other living creatures have a funeral precession is one or the most life changing experiences one can have. When I was 16, I was startled when a large hairy thing crawled out of a tiny hole in the wall. When it ran across the room, I smashed it so it wouldn't bite me or my dog and decided I'd clean it up again when I'd get up again from bed. When I layed back down and looked above my head, more of them came down with their webs and I froze in shock from the sheer amount of grey furred tarantulas almost the size of my hand coming out of this hole no bigger than my nostril. And when I looked across the room, they were forming a line. One-by-one, they single filed and walked by the body and would stop every time by it for seconds to minutes at a time. The others would leave outside of the room under the screen door. From that moment forward, I never killed another spider save for brown recluses and black widows. But never something like those big, magnificent arachnids who never really presented a threat at all. I learned to love and appreciate every creature from then on and weigh the life and death of each one accordingly. All life is precious.

What does that mean? Who took what? Those poaching the elephants ARE Africans. AND, the African government has allowed ivory to be sold. So who's taking WHAT from Africa??? When the truth is told, it ALWAYS cones back to AFRICA SELLING OUT AFRICA....
@@ZackBite evil or not evil is a bit black and white, dont you think? Unless you mean religion, it is possible to be a good human who still support evil (like hunting. Evil against the animal, helpful for other animals if they are too many and disrupts the ecosystem)
Since the people who buy the ivory are doing it for belief in bringing good luck or success, why not put something out there about the death of an elephant's Ivory and the curse it brings for the family. Generations and generations as long as there is ivory in the house. Nothing but misfortune and generations and generations of curses until the ivory is removed and forgiveness is seeked. Also worse for the man who kills the elephant. I truly believe this but if something is played or announced on TV enough times it will convince people. Ever watch a commercial and crave that one thing. The media has the ability to reach millions of people. Then let them reflect and draw their own conclusions.
Collect information and use that information to how to solve their problems and please don't collect information for how to capture them or how to train and keep them in cage please don't do that
I loved to watch these older fascinating 60 Minutes episodes. The ones before CBS contracted with the CIA to begin using this platform as a political propaganda and cultural conditioning tool.
It's been long known native Americans and other groups also "communicate" infrasonically, if that is an accurate description. It is not explainable per se but children learn it in a group I.e. family. This is why elephants are so close as well and "feel" together. It entails non -verbal and later verbal but can alternate at will.🙂Some would refer to it as moods but my grandfather called it "reading." I hope that makes sense. Thank you for loving elephants. God bless you and them.🇺🇸 🐘❤🐘❤🐘🇺🇸
And just which Native American groups do that? I'm Native and have never heard that. I find that in nearly every case when someone wants you to believe in some kind on nonsense or woo they say that unspecified Native tribes practice it or have knowledge of it.

I loved to watch these older fascinating 60 Minutes episodes. The ones before CBS contracted with the CIA to begin using this platform as a political propaganda and cultural conditioning tool.

Elephants are a lot like humans. Baby elephants are like baby humans.
Why wasn't something done to save the baby elephant? That's unbelievable.
The elephants speak
Telepathically....
All the animals as well...
I can sense and absorb the thouts and frequencies in the air and i can interpret. If anything help needed from my side i will do it.
It's been long known native Americans and other groups also "communicate" infrasonically, if that is an accurate description.
It is not explainable per se but children learn it in a group I.e. family. This is why elephants are so close as well and "feel" together.
It entails non -verbal and later verbal but can alternate at will.🙂Some would refer to it as moods but my grandfather called it "reading."
I hope that makes sense.
What a wonderful life
They probably use constants too.
We should input these recordings in neural nets, maybe create elephant translate
Can I have your sound visualizer? They are so expensive...
This lady has realised that heaven already exists on earth. All humans have to do is nurture it.
